๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿฑ Catio Life = Best Life ๐Ÿฑ๐ŸŒฟ
If your cat dreams of catching sunbeams, spying on squirrels, and living that outdoor luxury life โ€” without the risks โ€” it might be time to upgrade to a catio (aka cat patio, aka feline palace of sun and safety ๐Ÿ˜น).
Hereโ€™s why we love catios:
โœ… Safe outdoor time: Your cat gets fresh air, stimulation, and sunshine โ€” without the dangers of cars, predators, or wandering off.
โœ… Enrichment galore : Bird-watching, bug-chasing, breeze-sniffing โ€” itโ€™s all on the catio menu. Great for mental health and reducing indoor mischief!
โœ… Customizable fun: Big or small, window box or backyard jungle โ€” catios can fit almost any space or budget. Add shelves, hammocks, ramps, and even a snooze throne (aka a box with a blanket).
โœ… You get peace of mind: They get nature. You get fewer escape attempts. Everyone wins.
๐Ÿพ Bonus: Cats who get daily โ€œcatio timeโ€ often seem more relaxed, confident, and tired at night (aka less 3 a.m. hallway zooming).

LCHS is in need of barn cat homes. The cats in our barn cat program are adults and are usually not friendly to people. They earn their keep as "working cats" by keeping the rodent population down.
Barn homes are required to provide shelter from the elements and daily food & water for the cats. The cats are fixed and up to date on vaccinations.

Living in the shelter is tough on cats that are used to living outside. If you have ever considered a barn cat before, now is the time to adopt! Adopting a barn cat will provide that kitty with a home but will also create an open kennel, which is greatly needed right now with the number of cats and kittens coming in to the shelter.

If you are interested in a barn cat, please fill out an application (we have them on our website www.furrypets.com or you can email us for a copy at [email protected]). If we don't currently have a barn cat, we will keep your application on file to reach out when more come in. Thank you!
