Small Rant:
Most of my clients understand that I am an understanding and empathetic person and I try and work with you on what is best for your pet and your financial means.
HOWEVER, I have zero qualms about firing someone as a client if I am threatened or told that I am legally required to help because of the oath that I took. Trust me, I want to help every pet, but I am not physically or definitely not financially able or required to do so. There are sooo many resources out there at local humane societies to reach out to for help. That is their mission as a non-profit. I do not have donations coming into help animals in need and nor should I need to when there are other local options (ie Jefferson county humane society, Lawrence Humane Society, Helping Hands Humane Society, to name a few).
There are a few lines you do not cross. If you want to treat me like that, you can find another vet that will tolerate it, because I will not!
Rant over. I just want people to realize that there is a person behind this business. A single mom with two kids with a growing business that she is trying to manage. I won't tolerate someone treating me like a 'Karen'. As they used to say, "Bye, Felecia!"
