Keep pets safe in the heat

Any time your pet is outside, make sure they have protection from heat and sun and plenty of fresh, cold water. In heat waves, add ice to water when possible. Tree shade and tarps are ideal because they don't obstruct air flow. A doghouse does not provide relief from heat—in fact, it makes it worse.

Veterinary Care Center is temporarily adjusting our hours of operation effective Monday March 23, 2020 due to challenges that COVID-19 brings.
We are open for business. Effective immediately we are unable to admit clients into the building for the safety of ALL involved.

• Our new guidelines effective immediately:
• 1. Please call 48 hours ahead for all medication or food refills in an effort to make sure we have items in stock.
• When you arrive at Veterinary Care Center, call the office (609-890-6266) and a staff member will bring your medications and food to your car and collect payment by cash, check, or credit card over the phone.
• 2. Upon arrival for appointments, call the office (609-890-6266) from your vehicle to verbally check-in. After check-in, clients are to wait in their vehicles for their scheduled appointment until our staff member is ready to es**rt their pet to an exam room. The doctor will call you to discuss the recommended treatment and procedures, and answer any questions.
• 3. If you have traveled within 14 days to a region with a high rate of the COVID-19 virus, have a fever, cough or other respiratory symptoms please reschedule your appointment, or ask another family member or friend to bring your pet to VCC. We want to continue to provide excellent care for your pets, and in order to do so, we need to stay healthy.
• 4. Please be patient while we schedule appointments, during our check in/out procedures, and while waiting in your car. Taking the necessary precautions between clients and patients will require more time. We will be adjusting our scheduling accordingly.
• 5. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. It is because we care so much about our entire VCC family which you are a part of; that we are taking this seriously and making no exceptions.
