Did you know... Cats have good night vision but cannot see in total darkness. So before you leave for your trip, make sure you leave a couple of lights on inside the house for your feline friends. Putting the lights on timers so they turn on every night around the same time works well. If you think leaving a light on will disrupt your cats' sleep, guess again. 😻

Lulu crossed the Rainbow Bridge last night. I was visiting her while her humans were out of town. On the first first day, last Monday, I could tell she just wasn't feeling well. She'd stopped eating and was peeing outside the box.I got her into the emergency vet. Her bloodwork was the worst I'd ever seen. She was in acute kidney failure. There wasn't much to be done beyond palliative care. I offered to provide around-the-clock care for Lulu at her home until her humans could get back. They returned at 7pm to say goodbye. She passed just a few short hours later. Such a sweet, soft, beautiful little Siamese, and only 14. My heart is so broke.

I just learned that another of my kitty clients, Khang-Yi, also crossed the Rainbow Bridge earlier today. Khang-Yi battled diabetes and kidney disease for some years. He was a sweet and rather stoic fellow. I will miss him.

My buddy Wally crossed the Rainbow Bridge today with the help of his best human and a wonderful vet. Wally had cancer that progressed quickly. He was alway affectionate and chatty and I enjoyed hus company a lot. I was able to visit with him a couple days ago and he was just as sweet and silly as ever. Goodbye, handsome. I'll miss you, as will your furry friends Paris and Thumbelina.

I just learned that my kitty client Snowflake (seen here with her ginger buddy Cedric) died of kidney failure a few months ago. She was only 7. Lovely girl.
