Oh Padraig, you will be missed. This handsome boy appeared randomly at the barn as a standoffish ferel cat. He made me work very hard to earn his trust. I was finally able to pet him, barely, on what happened to be St Patrick's Day. That what inspired his Irish name. A few short weeks after that initial petting, he suddenly accepted all affection and attention from humans. It was like he just decided we were worthy of him! 😅 He was an unusual guy with some strange habits but he was very loved. This morning he was exhibiting serious medical issues, hind leg paralysis. He was immediately taken to the emergency vet where they discovered he had significant heart disease. Padraig had a huge heart, literally. He was peacefully euthanized while his best buddy Javier stroked his head. Padraig and Javier had a special bond. It is a very sad day. Rest in peace "P.P."
