Recently helping out a buyer find a new home, I kept passing by the old Collaborative Farm on 55th and Silver Spring. My buyer was interested in helping out, maybe growing something there. I looked into and it look like it closed in 2017. Anyone interested in starting that up again? This looks refreshing. I know what would make it super. Some super greens. Here is my take on this great recipe. Adding 1/4 oz Kale or Broccoli microgreens increases the health benefits while keeping the flavor the same. Pick up some microgreens at your local market or check out Microgreen Directory for a grower near you.

We received a bad Google review stating the honey they purchased from us had sugar in it. 🤔 We can assure you any honey you buy from our Farm Store whether it’s our honey or honey from other local producers does NOT have added sugar! That’d be like adding instant coffee to freshly ground coffee beans! Silly!
We just saw someone else post this info and thought we’d share it for educational purposes! Learn about honey and if you have questions about it or any other food, ask your farmer! They love sharing info about what they grow/produce! (and please do it before giving them a bad Google review! 🥺)

Honey: DON’T THROW IT OUT!
Great advice from a beekeeper....

So, periodically someone will complain that a jar of honey in their cupboard has gone bad, when Honey actually never goes bad!
It looks crystalized or like it is separated in the jar.
Crystalization happens when there is an imbalance
of the two sugars in honey — glucose and fructose.
Usually the bees get that balance perfect, but sometimes honey is harvested from a comb before all of the honey is capped.
The bees didn’t get to finish the job. But it’s no problem.
You see here some jars of crystalized or separated honey from beehives.
It can happen slowly over time.
So, here’s how to whip that honey back into shape.
One jar there is more than eight years old.
All you do is put the jar in some warm — not hot water — and slowly stir the honey. In about 20 minutes the jars are back to their perfect golden selves. Tastes great.
Unless honey is somehow contaminated with a foreign substance it will NEVER spoil or go bad.
Did you know archaeologists have found 3,000-year-old honey in Egyptian tombs and it was perfectly edible?
Don’t throw it out. Honey is expensive.
Just warm it up and put it back in the cupboard ready for your next biscuit and butter. HOPE THAT HELPS.
