Last WI hunt of 2024 was one for the books! Ice, high winds and cold temps made it dangerous for the dog if caution was not taken so Gracie got the call for this hunt and she showed why she’s a seasoned veteran.

Hopefully not the last WI hunt of the year but the cold temps and ice are here. Dogs had a hard time in the mud and cold water after such a mild season but did as good as we could ever ask.

Sunday was a day we'll never forget! Cassidy had her first duck hunting experience including a little success. The hunt was short and even a little wet at the end due to a stumble picking up decoys but memories were made that'll last a lifetime!

Successful duck opener with Nala this past weekend featuring a limit of wood ducks and teal. A hunt like this can make for some sporty shooting and challenging dog work.

Last test of the year and Nala got it done, finishing out her SH title! Training season got started a bit late this year due to her litter this past spring but we put in the work and it paid off. Big thanks to Chippewa Valley Retriever Club and their volunteers for hosting a very well put together test.

Nala picked up another senior pass this past weekend. It's been a long break since the last test due to her litter but she back in the game! Looking for one more in a couple weeks to complete her senior title.
