The final day of our hunt was tough, the weather turned nice and the birds knew it. A warm water creek had birds coming early, too early. We had an awesome show 15 mins before shooting light but not much after. Nala had to show restraint with mallards landing at 15 yards and teal buzzing our hats off. The action practically shut off right after shooting light however we did cap off the trip and the season with a big beautiful greenhead. Western NE was good to us and we will be back!

Day two in Nebraska was a little tougher. We had the privilege of hunting the iconic North Platte River. Birds worked well early allowing us to get the dog some splash marks in the decoys. Again a challenging day for Nala as she hasn't hunting water moving this quickly but she adjusted well and took casts perfectly if she got offline due to the current.

Capped off our duck season with a great trip to Nebraska! Nala had her work cut out for her on day one hunting a small warm water creek with a big cut bank to climb. Running blinds up that bank was a ton of fun, she'd hit the water, climb the bank and disappear. Only to reappear with a big fat greenhead!

Happy 2nd birthday to our pocket lab Jasmine. Affectionately known as Jazz, Jazzie, and Jazzercise to name a few!
She has topped out at a whopping 40 lbs but don't let her small size fool you, this dog has got a heart and drive I'd put against any dog. Health clarences will be gotten soon and then the planning stage for her first litter will begin. We are excited to be able to share this special dog with you.

Every year we seem to be drawn more and more into ducks. However, we do still enjoy a late season pheasant trip down to our good friends in Iowa. Pheasants are Gracie's thing and she shows her experience every time we go by digging out hens that hold tight and tracking those roosters that run! #
