KNUCKLES IS STILL SEARCHING FOR A HOME!

Who doesn't love a chonky old flame point??!!

"Knuckles here! I’m a handsome older gentleman (11yrs) who definitely earned his name. I might be a senior, but don't let the age fool you, I’ve still got plenty of personality! I arrived as a stray, and while my past is a mystery, my future is looking for a very special lap. When I first got to the shelter, I made sure to show everyone who was boss with my "boxing mitts" (I'm front-declawed). Once I know you're a friend, though, that spicy exterior melts into a ton of love. I don't seem to enjoy dogs so a home that's canine free is preferred! I didn't seem to mind my cat room mate in my foster home but I'd be happy in my own space with just myself and my people.
I love catnip, wet snacks, and being brushed!!

The Details on This Distinguished Gent:
• Personality: Opinionated, spunky, and fiercely affectionate once he trusts you.
• Status: Front-declawed senior.
• Health Notes:
• Dental: I have a small crack in one tooth. It’s not an emergency, but my new family should have their vet keep an eye on it.
• Hips: I have some arthritis in my back hips (hey, I've walked a lot of miles!). I’m currently on joint supplements and they are making me feel like a new man!

SPECIAL OUTING ALERT: Meet Marco!
Our wonderful volunteer, Linda, took 5-month-old Marco out for an adventure today, and let’s just say... he completely stole the show!
Here is what Linda had to say about this handsome guy:

Marco! Polo! (Sorry, had to! 🤣) For only being 5 months old, he is surprisingly well-behaved, calm, and as sweet as he is handsome. And those luminescent eyes? Mesmerizing!
People always ask what breed he is, so here’s my answer: he's a silver fox, a lovebug, a total sweetie pie, and a Pit mix who happens to get along great with other dogs and cats! We started with a nice walk, and he was a perfect gentleman. He hopped right into the car, posed for a few photos, and was a super calm passenger. Our first stop was 35th and Coffee, where he charmed all the ladies and gently accepted every single treat. Next, we visited our friends at Marinette Farm and Garden. I’d heard Marco could be a little shy at first, but not today! He greeted everyone beautifully, sat handsomely for treats, and even made a new best friend playing with Nugget! 🌾❤️ He is so wonderful that I forgot he’s still just a puppy. He has a little left to learn, but he’s proving to be a straight-A student!

***FOUND DOG***

This handsome boy was brought in overnight having been found wandering near 38th Avenue & 22nd Street in Menominee MI. While he is currently having the time of his life chasing tennis balls in our yard, we know there must be a family missing him!

Shaq is an 11-month-old ball of energy and fun! He's been around kids in the past and seems to love affection from anyone who will give it to him. From chewing stuffies to running around the yard, he's everything you'd love in a pup! Shaq has a lot of energy and enjoys all kinds of play. He came from a home with other dogs, but a meet and greet is always necessary.

We did not get a description of the cat.

***A RELIEVED OWNER IS ON HER WAY TO GRAB THEM!***

These two boys appear to have been ventured onto US 41, south of Carney this morning. They've clearly had a little adventure with a porcupine and a skunk, and we'd like to help get them home!

Marco is a 5 month old sweetheart who is ready to find a family to call his own. He was very loved in his previous home but unfortunately had to be given to the shelter due to unpredictable life changes. Marco is bashful when meeting new people but turns into quite the love bug once he's comfortable with you. He enjoys going for walks, playtime, and snacks!
