🎉 THE UNEXPECTED MENA GIVEAWAY IS HERE! 🎉

What started as a little idea got wildly out of hand. We now have 25 LOCAL BUSINESSES, SIX MYSTERY PRIZE BOXES, and a ridiculous amount of goodies to give away!

Over the next 10 days, we'll be introducing you to the businesses, makers, and creative weirdos who make our little community so interesting.

At the end, SIX WINNERS will be selected by axe throw at Ouachita Axe & Ale House! 🪓

Five regular mystery boxes full of businesses prizes and one special 🌶️ SPICY BOX (18+ ONLY) featuring adult literature, a handmade collar, a spooky photoshoot, and more!

🎟️ HOW TO ENTER

1 ENTRY: Like this post AND comment with one participating business you already love and one you're excited to discover!

+1 ENTRY: Share this ORIGINAL post PUBLICLY! (If it isn't public, we can't see the entry!)

+1 ENTRY PER FRIEND: Tag your friends! Each unique person tagged earns another entry.

+3 BONUS ENTRIES: Comment with a photo or selfie featuring something you've purchased from ANY participating business, recently or in the past!

🌶️ WANT THE SPICY BOX? Add a pepper emoji to your comment! Must be 18+ to win and yes, we will check. You can still win a regular box though.

🚨 ONLY COMMENTS AND TAGS ON THIS ORIGINAL POST COUNT! Shares are appreciated, but entries left on shared posts won't count. I'm not chasing comments across half of Polk County. 😂

📌 THE FINE PRINT

No purchase necessary.

Local pickup only.

One prize box per winner.

Winners have 7 days to claim their prizes.

Participating business owners cannot enter.

Gift certificates and services must be redeemed directly with the donating business, not The Unexpected Mercantile.

This giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook/Meta.

📅 ENTRIES CLOSE: THURSDAY 10/22 AT 6 PM

Winners will be chosen by axe throw after entries close!

The whole point? Help our local businesses reach new people, discover some hidden gems, and give away a truly unreasonable amount of s**t.

SHOP LOCAL. SPREAD THE WEIRD. GOOD LUCK! 🖤

NEW IN STOCK AT ASCEND!

We now have single ingredient, freeze-dried treats available for your pups!

If you like knowing exactly what you’re feeding your pet, these are a great option. They contain no artificial colors, preservatives, or fillers... just simple, recognizable ingredients. Great for pets with food allergies or sensitivities!

Freeze drying helps preserve the protein’s natural flavor and many of its nutrients, making these a tasty and nutrient dense option without all the extras.
