Meet Bully , a tiny singleton kitten looking for a foster home. At just 22 days old, Bully is taking the bottle like a champ, appears to be healthy, and just needs a safe, loving place to grow.

☀️💦 What a day! Our Summer Splash Party was a huge success, and we couldn't have done it without our incredible community.

Thanks to everyone who volunteered, helped, and spent their Saturday making life a little brighter for our shelter pets. Because of your support, a dozen dogs got to enjoy much-needed time outside for relaxation, enrichment, play, and lots of tail wags.

A special thank you to the Memphis Hustle for supporting our mission and giving our dogs an unforgettable day of fun and exercise in the sunshine. 🏀🐾

Thank you to Mempops for keeping our volunteers cool with delicious popsicles and treating our pups to refreshing pupsicles. 🍧🐶

Thank you to All 4s Rescue League for providing staff support and amazing toys that kept the dogs entertained throughout the event. 🎾💙

🐾 Meet Aaron, aka Ranger! 🐾

If you're looking for a fun, active best friend, Ranger is your guy. This happy pup loves everyone he meets—dogs, people, kids, and even cats (though he'd definitely prefer if the cats wanted to play with him too! 😆).

🎾 Favorite hobby: stealing toys from around the house and building a giant collection in his crate. He even sleeps on his favorites!

Ranger is housetrained, crate trained, knows several commands, and loves adventures. He's still young and energetic, so he'd thrive with a family that can keep him active and continue helping him learn and grow.

These pups are already spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, meaning they can head home as soon as they're adopted—or leave with a foster commitment! 🎉

🐾 Pablo Picasso – Medium-sized, kid-friendly, and ready for family adventures.
🐾 Phillip – A 3-month-old puppy with his whole life ahead of him.
🐾 Mochi – A playful 6-month-old girl who loves other dogs.
🐾 Gilmora & Gibson – Adorable 2-month-old siblings looking for homes.
🐾 Odum – A handsome medium-sized boy with a foster lined up, but he's still searching for his forever family.
🐾 Gizmo – A 3-month-old puppy ready to grow up with you.
🐾 Chip – Another adorable 3-month-old pup looking for a fresh start.

📊 Field Report Friday: May 28–June 3

Every week, our team works around the clock to care for animals in need across Memphis and Shelby County. Here's a look at what happened this past week at Memphis Animal Services:

🚨 Our Animal Control team responded to 541 calls for service across the community, helping address concerns ranging from stray animals and injured pets to public safety and animal welfare issues.

🐾 311 animals entered the shelter
• 66 owner surrenders
• 224 stray animals brought in by Memphis Animal Control
• 4 stray animals brought in by Shelby County Animal Control
• 17 puppies born in our care

Of these...,
🐶 188 dogs
🐱 122 cats
🐦 1 bird
entered our care this week.

❤️ Outcomes
• 54 adoptions (36 dogs, 18 cats)
• 8 pets returned to their owners
• 37 animals transferred to rescue partners
• 9 cats safely returned to their outdoor homes through our Return-to-Field program

Although 111 animals found positive outcomes this week, more animals entered the shelter than left it. As intake remains high, support from adopters, fosters, rescue partners, volunteers, and pet owners is more important than ever to help us continue caring for animals in need.

Thank you to everyone who opened their home, donated their time or resources, shared our posts, or helped spread the word this week. Every act of support makes a meaningful difference for the animals of Memphis. 💙
