Repost: Good Morning Gentle Care Family,
At Gentle Care, the health and safety of your pets are always our top priority.
To better protect your furry family members, we’ve updated our boarding and grooming requirements. All pets must be fully vaccinated and have an up-to-date f***l test prior to their grooming or boarding appointment.
This change is part of our commitment to creating a safer, healthier environment. Many common illnesses and diseases can be transmitted through the air or f***s, and these additional precautions help reduce that risk significantly.
If you already have an existing appointment…don’t worry—it will still be honored.
If you have any questions or would like to check your pet’s records, our team is happy to help.
Thank you for trusting us with your pets’ care. We appreciate your understanding as we take these steps to protect all our clients—two- and four-legged alike!

INTRODUCING A NEW ADDITION TO OUR ✂️🐩 GROOMING DEPARTMENT: Lexi!!!

Hi, I’m Lexi! I’m new to the team, but I’ve been working with animals my whole life and have a strong passion for shelter and rescue work. I really enjoy having one-on-one time with the animals and love getting to build relationships with both pets and their people. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and my daughter—she keeps life fun and shares my love of animals.❤️

Bring the p**p (we're serious).… 👀💩

Even healthy-looking pets can have hidden parasites like roundworms, hookworms, and giardia. Left untreated, parasites can cause diarrhea, weight loss, and even be passed to people. That’s why we recommend f***l testing as part of routine care!

As a reminder, summer heat can be dangerous for pets, especially dogs with short snouts like Bulldogs, Pugs, and Frenchies.

Watch for signs of overheating like excessive panting or drooling, bright red gums, wobbling, or vomiting. If you notice these signs, get your pet to a cool area, offer water, and call us immediately.

🥵With the summer heat, remember to check your pet’s water bowl more frequently!

Pets can’t sweat like humans. They cool down through panting and paw pad sweat, so staying hydrated is critical for regulating body temp.

Fireworks may be fun for us, but for pets, they can be scary, and the booms often continue well past the 4th of July. 🌩️ Thunderstorms and other loud noises can trigger anxiety too.

If your pet is showing signs of stress, don’t hesitate to reach out. We can discuss treatment options to help your pet feel safe and secure year-round. 💙
