Here is an update from Nayla's foster mom!
Nylah is doing absolutely amazing. She is such a sweet girl. She absolutely LOVES, Percy (my dog). She is doing amazing in a home setting! She has not had any potty accidents in the home. She does good in the crate when she needs to be in it, but she also does good out of it too! She follows Percy and I everywhere all she wants is cuddles and to be around you! She’s a precious girl!

Thank you to these youngsters for making some dog toys for dogs and raising money for the shelter! They made and sold home made dog treats to accomplish this goal. Great job!

HELP NEEDED NOW!
We started out the day with 7 open kennels. We have taken in 11 dogs in less than an hour! We have a negative amount of open kennels at this point. We need fosters and adopters NOW! We are out of time and space. Please! 901-385-6484

🔥 Why Outdoor Heat Is Deadly for Dogs
☀️ Heatstroke Happens Fast

Dogs can’t sweat like humans — they rely on panting, which becomes ineffective in high humidity.

Even in the shade, ambient temperatures over 85°F can trigger heatstroke.

Dog houses trap heat and often make things worse, not better.

🐾 Burned Paws & Dehydration

Pavement, decks, and even dirt can reach 130°F, burning paw pads.

Without access to cool, clean water, dogs can become dehydrated in under an hour.

🚨 Vulnerable Breeds

Short-nosed breeds (like pugs and bulldogs), puppies, seniors, and overweight dogs are at highest risk.

Dogs with thick coats or dark fur absorb more heat.
