In the Still of the Night😞
That's when it hits me. How truly hard we are struggling at the Tunica Humane Society. How we haven't made ends meet in months at our shelter. Depleting our emergency funds month after month just to keep paying our bills.
I keep praying for a Miracle. The Tunica Humane Society was built on prayers. We have stepped out in Faith, time and time again, believing so deeply in our mission, that God would provide our every need. Somehow, we have managed to stay above water for 17 years. Saving thousands and thousands of lives along the way.
Over time things have changed. Everything we need to operate our shelter costs more. From providing food and medical care to our animals, to utilities, fuel expenses, shelter repairs, insurance, heartworm preventative, community outreach programs, and sadly, the added manpower we need to care for so many animals that have nowhere else to go. Our intake is at an all-time high and we are working tirelessly, to give those animals the gift of life.
I don't know where this is going. I pray constantly for the future of the Tunica Humane Society. I will continue to fight for these animals until my dying breath. Without the Tunica Humane Society, countless animals will never even get a chance at life.
We have some immediate needs. If you can donate any of it, it would mean so much to us right now. And if you can't donate, please pray for our shelter, our mission, our staff, our animals, because we are struggling to keep it together. With your help, we can continue to fight the good fight.
We are in need of cat food, both dry and canned. We also need kitten food.
We need dog and cat food donated for our Community Pantry. We haven't had the funds to purchase the extra food this month. Any brands will work. So many people in our area need help feeding their pets and they depend on us.
We need cleaning supplies. Clorox, washing pods, dishwashing liquid, garbage bags, paper towels.
We need money to pay our bills. We have seen our vet bills double in recent months. Seems the whole world has gone "Corporate" and everything is costing more.
I hate asking for funding. I truly do. But I love these animals more. They need us and we need you to keep fighting this fight.
