We are seeking immediate help for Callie and her 10 puppies currently residing at Eastern Shore Regional Animal Control Facility .

A concerned citizen sent us a post a week ago of Callie's
puppies being sold for next to nothing at only 5 weeks. Animal Control intervened and the owner did the right thing by signing her and her 10 puppies over. We have reached out to every rescue we know and sadly no one can help. Our space is limited at the facility, and we are struggling to accommodate this large family.

If you have it in your heart to help foster, or hopefully a rescue we don't have personal connections with sees this please email [email protected]

If you are able to donate anything towards Callie and her puppies the facility can use dry puppy food, wet puppy food, puppy chewing toys, and puppy pads.

Come meet your best friend!

Namaste is patiently waiting for her new family. She can be shy at first and will require an adjustment period in the home. We absolutely recommend crate training as she does have a tendency to chew things that do not belong to her. She is only 11 months old and still has puppy energy. She does better with females and warms up to males slowly. Every dog is her friend, and she would love a larger size playmate to romp with. Please help find this girl a new home!

Email [email protected] to meet her

Namaste was returned through no fault of her own. Although her initial meet and greet with the adopter's dog went smoothly, as Namaste began to relax, her playful nature became too energetic for the smaller dog to handle. Despite the little dog's experience with larger canine companions, Namaste's exuberance proved overwhelming. How can we prevent such situations in the future? We advise potential adopters to exercise caution when introducing new dogs into their households, advocating for supervised interactions for a minimum of two weeks. We also offer foster-to-adopt arrangements and multiple meet and greets. We urge adopters to carefully consider our staff's descriptions of each dog's unique personality and needs during meet and greets, recognizing that an attractive photograph may not fully capture a dog's temperament. We encourage adopters to heed our staff's guidance on integrating animals into their homes and to take advantage of our shelter manager's availability to discuss any concerns, seeking support before issues escalate.

That being said namaste needs a new home. She is very sad to be back in our shelter and is hoping her people are out there. She has exuberant puppy energy once she feels comfortable and would do best with a larger canine companion. She has a slightly in your face play style with other dogs and can be too much for any tiny companion. From her adopter she will need patience and guidance as she navigates a house. We do not know her back history but we do know from her previous adopter that she was extremely nervous and afraid for the first few days. We cannot stress enough that when we say a crate is a safe space for a dog especially coming into a new environment.

We know her people are out there waiting for her, and you can email [email protected] to meet her.

A huge thank you on this for Delmarva K9 LLC .

Heartbreaker was dropped off yesterday for a FREE 3 week training course to ensure she is truly ready for her FOREVER family. Yes! Free! We couldn't believe it either. We can't thank the owner JC Richardson and Meagan enough for everything they are doing.

Stay tuned as our shelter manager travels to visit her in the coming weeks. Looking to adopt our sweet girl? Email [email protected]!
