🌟 Hero Alert! 🌟

Today, one of our very own employee’s beloved fur-babies, Piper, is in our ICU fighting IMHA (Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia). This is a serious autoimmune disease where a dog’s own immune system attacks its red blood cells, causing severe anemia — and leaving Piper in urgent need of a life-saving blood transfusion.

Yesterday, we tested NINE dogs in search of a match with no success. This morning, we reached out to local emergency hospitals, including Aloha, but still came up short.

That’s when Dr. Tolle had a brilliant idea 💡 — Greyhounds are often universal donors. After checking our records, we remembered that two of our wonderful clients, Mr. & Mrs. Sasser, had recently brought in their Greyhounds, Athena and Adonis. Both are healthy, happy, and loved members of their family.

With one phone call, Mrs. Sasser didn’t hesitate to help. She brought Athena right in, and after testing, Athena was a perfect match! 🩸💖

Athena stayed with us for a couple of hours, donating enough blood to give Piper the fighting chance she needed. Thanks to her (and the amazing generosity of the Sasser family), Piper received her transfusion today.

We are beyond grateful to Mr. & Mrs. Sasser and their hero girl, Athena. She did beautifully and is now back home resting like the superstar she is. 🐾❤️

Please keep Piper in your thoughts as she continues her fight in the ICU — we are all hoping for her full recovery. 💕

✨🐾 One Year Milestone! 🐾✨

Allie has officially hit her 1-year post-lymphoma diagnosis and she’s doing amazing! 💕 Thanks to the incredible care of Dr. Klimas and Dr. Young, she completed her final round of chemo this past January.

When she was seen again in April — 3 months post-treatment — Dr. Klimas reported that she was doing well, especially for a 13.5-year-old pup! 🐶💪

Today, her family came back to celebrate this big milestone with us — complete with a beautiful cake 🎂 — and our staff couldn’t be more appreciative to share in such a special moment. ❤️

Here’s to many more happy, healthy days for Allie!

Meet Ruby! 🐾💛
How could we possibly choose just one photo with a face like this? Ruby is the fur-niece of one of our amazing team members — and an absolutely adorable 11-week-old golden retriever. If you know Dr. Young, you know he’s a big fan of goldens too, so this visit was a treat!

During her check-up, Ruby got a clean bill of health. She received her distemper vaccine update, a leptospirosis vaccine (important because of rising cases in our area), deworming treatment, heartworm and flea prevention, and a f***l sample check.

She did test positive for tapeworms, but we’re on top of it! Next month, Ruby will be back for her final distemper vaccine, her second leptospirosis dose, another f***l test to confirm those pesky parasites are gone, and the rest of her “big dog” vaccines.

We can’t wait to watch this healthy, happy pup grow up! 🐶✨

🐾 Exciting News from Animal Medical Clinic – West Melbourne! 🐾

Demo is officially underway at our newest location – Animal Medical Clinic West Melbourne! 🎉

Here’s what’s been happening behind the scenes:
✨ The old outdoor seating area screening has been removed.
✨ Kitchen appliances have been auctioned off.
✨ Drop ceiling is gone so we can access electrical work.
✨ Design details are in progress to make sure every detail is just right!

We are beyond excited to see real progress and can’t wait to welcome you into this beautiful new space once it’s complete.

🐾 Welcome, Rex! 🐶✨

Say hello to Rex — the adorable 9-week-old long-haired dachshund who recently became part of the AMC family! He came in for his very first puppy visit with Dr. Tolle... but as you can imagine, that didn’t stop him from getting the full puppy parade treatment around the clinic - one of our very own dachshund lover couldn’t resist giving Rex a little extra TLC (how could anyone resist that face?). 🐕💕

During his visit, Dr. Tolle went over all the essentials with Rex’s family — including his vaccination schedule, tips on avoiding dog parks until he’s fully protected, future plans for neutering, the importance of heartworm and flea protection, the benefits of pet health insurance, and addressed any puppy questions they had.

We’re so happy to have Rex in our care and can’t wait to watch him grow! 💙

This sweet little girl came in today for her very first patient exam! Rollo is an 8-week-old Toy Rat Terrier and already has our hearts melting. 💖
