🐾 Map it and track it 🐾

Ever found a new bump on your pet while bathing or brushing?
Knowing what’s new and what’s been there for years is a life-saver!
Body Mapping is a simple “map” of your pet’s
body to keep a record of the location, size and feel of every lump and bump.

Why it’s a game changer:

✔️No more guesswork
✔️Spot changes early
✔️Peace of mind

Pro Tip:
Use a circular template (like a coin) to measure the size and snap a photo.

🐾 💡Did you know that dogs don't always need an IV catheter to get hydrated?
For mild dehydration, we can administer subcutaneous (SubQ) fluids directly under their loose skin.
The body naturally and safely absorbs this fluid over the next few hours.

The funny part? Right after the treatment, pets walk out looking like a cute little camel with a temporary fluid hump! 🐪

Smoke recently visited our Emergency team because he was dealing with some vomiting and diarrhea.
All that fluid loss left him feeling a bit dehydrated, so he needed a quick pick-me-up!

He sprung a tiny, harmless leak 💦 from his injection site afterward.
His dedicated owner is helper-of-the-day, applying a little bit of pressure to the spot until it seals up.
We are so glad we could help this sweet boy feel better!❤️‍🩹

Has your pet ever had the fluid hump? 🐪

🐾 MONDAY MATH WITH ETHAN! 🐾

Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes at a veterinary emergency and specialty hospital? 🩺

It is not just cuddles and stethoscopes. Sometimes, it is serious math!
Today, our fantastic ER nurse, Ethan (who doubles as our official "OSHA Boy" keeping us all safe), turned into a math professor. 🧑‍🏫📊

He gave a masterclass in medical math to our wonderful assistant, Cassandra, and Aubrey, a local high school student who is spending time with us to learn the ropes of veterinary medicine!

From calculating precise emergency drug dosages to fluid rates, accuracy is everything in the ER. 🧮💡

We love investing in the next generation of vet professionals—and keeping our team's skills sharper than ever!
Help us thank Ethan for the lesson, and give a big shout-out to Cassandra and our student for working so hard on a Monday! 👇❤️

Aubrey and Dexter. 🐾 🧡

We swear we do not match our staff to our patients based on hair color. It just works out perfectly sometimes. 😆

Aubrey technically isn’t one of our staff… she is a student from Harmony High School shadowing our team to learn about emergency and specialty medicine.
Dexter is an absolute champion who came in for some expert care.

From the identical hair color to the matching vibes, these two brought the ultimate twin energy to the clinic floor today.

We love hosting local students and inspiring the next generation of veterinary professionals.
Best of luck to Aubrey with the rest of her studies.

The Best Smile in Town! 🐾💛

Meet Mochi, the absolute happiest patient in our ICU!
This handsome Golden Retriever had to be hospitalized for some emergency care, but he isn’t letting a hospital stay (or his new e-collar) dampen his spirits.
As you can see, he is flashing us the cheesiest smile!
Mochi completely stole the hearts of our team.

He absolutely loves his nurses and doesn't mind being in the ICU at all. He has turned his recovery kennel into his personal fan club headquarters.

We love your resilient spirit and joyful energy, Mochi!
Keep smiling, buddy! 😀

🎙️We would like to take a moment to remind everybody:

In a veterinary emergency room, waiting is a good sign. ❤️

We know that sitting in a waiting room with your beloved pet is stressful, and every minute can feel like an hour.
But… if you have to wait, it means your pet is stable-and in our world, stable is a beautiful thing.

Just like human ERs, emergency animal hospitals operate on a triage system. This means we prioritize patients based on the severity of their condition, NOT the order in which they arrive.

• The pets taken back immediately: They are fighting for their lives and face critical, time-sensitive emergencies.
• The pets who are waiting: They are safe, breathing well, and stable enough to wait for care.

Trust us, you never want our staff to be rushing to stabilize your pet. If you are waiting, please take comfort in knowing your best friend is doing okay.

☕️ 🍭🥤Make yourself at home while you wait:
We want to keep you as comfortable as possible during your stay. Please feel free to visit our complimentary coffee station and our lobby vending machine upfront for a quick snack or drink.
Thank you so much for your patience, kindness, and understanding.
Your support helps our medical team focus on saving lives, one patient at a time. ⏰

🐾 Meet Peggy Sue!
Is that not the cutest face you’ve ever seen?

This adorable girl recently visited us because she was experiencing some severe mouth pain.
After a thorough examination and the right treatments from our emergency medical team, she is officially on the road to recovery!

As you can see from her picture, Peggy Sue is already feeling much better and is back to showing off her signature tongue-out look. 🐶👅

We are so incredibly proud of how brave she was during her visit.
Sending you lots of love and healthy vibes for a fast recovery, Peggy Sue! ❤️

Herding sheep? Easy.
Keeping a straight face when a thermometer is in his ear? Impossible.

Say hi to Cody! 🤎

Border Collies are famous for their intense, sheep-herding stare.
But the moment Angela brought out the ear thermometer during triage?
That laser focus went a little cross-eyed and the and the long snout scrunched up sideways!

Good news: His temperature is normal, his health is clear, and his comedic timing is 10/10.
Thanks for brightening up our shift, Cody!

Reminder: Our doors are open 24/7 for all your pet's emergencies.

🐾 Big News for our Team! 🐾

We have officially transformed our old hospital storage room into a brand-new, dedicated Nursing Lounge Area!

The new lounge is fully stocked with:
Snacks, riddles, trivia, books, a comfy table, a little love seat…AND PLANTS!!
We packed it with beautiful green plants, and it is already making a massive difference. 🌿
Working in emergency veterinary medicine is a high-stress, high-stakes job.
Studies show that just looking at living plants can instantly lower blood pressure, reduce cortisol levels, and help our brains recover from mental fatigue. It gives our amazing team a much-needed, calming "nature break" so they can recharge and jump back into saving lives. 💪🐶

Thank you to our Culture Ambassadors, Rosie and Kaitlin for making our wellness a priority!
