Warning this is a long post. Today someone messaged me on MM about buying the last 9 hatchlings from last year that I just marked down on sale for a few days. They didn’t say anything about themselves and what their intention was for the babies, so I added all the snakes on sale and took even more off and told them an amount. No answer. I reached back out to let them know I could consider lower offers that was just a starting point and that I had more snakes that were larger that were not posted. The person sent me 4 snakes and asked about the price of those 4 shipped - gave them a discounted price again similar to what I quoted before for the bunch. Basically they replied “to high” yes bad grammar and all. I said “okay what is your offer?” And they offer me $50 per snake and tell me they have buyers lined up and some stuff about their husbandry but at this point I’m just wondering why this person didn’t just tell me they were a reseller who wanted bottom deal wholesale to begin with. I NICELY told them I’m a small breeder and I don’t need to sell my snakes for next to nothing. Then this person turns on me telling me my spider gene snakes shouldn’t be bred so he won’t pay “breeding price” for those and to just see what happens when I put my snakes up for auction since I’m charging “pied prices” And maybe he’ll just get them from on auction for nothing. This person is the bad side of this hobby that I hate. He ruffled my feathers , and offended me and made me feel sad about my poor babies who are left from last year. That this is how these flippers are viewing them, just a number, how low can I bully this breeder to go so I can make more money off of their babies they’ve had for months and months , watched them grow. I’ll keep these 9 babies forever to keep them from a bad home even if the flipper is just an intermediate home. I’m not letting them go there. I blocked the person but I won’t forget the things they said. I don’t ever want their business, or to see my babies. The baby posted in the picture here is one they wanted for 50$.
