By His Grace Equine Rescue was founded in 2018 with one simple but powerful calling: to save horses that others had given up on.

Guided by our faith and the words of Proverbs 24:11 — “Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter” — we step in where hope feels lost.

Since our beginning, over 300 horses have been rescued from neglect, abandonment, slaughter pipelines, and desperate circumstances. Each one arrives broken in body or spirit—or both—and leaves with safety, care, dignity, and a second chance at life.

Our rescue is not just about saving horses. It’s about restoring trust, healing trauma, and honoring God’s creation through compassionate action. Every life matters. Every rescue is a testimony of grace.

An $80,000 grant would allow us to:
• Rescue more at-risk horses before it’s too late
• Provide critical veterinary care, feed, and rehabilitation
• Expand our ability to rehome horses into safe, loving futures

Update: Blaze has a wonderful new home!

Blaze is a broke broke broke TWH. Will go all day out on the trails by himself. Smooth and steady. He is 20 yrs young and has been diagnosed with Cushings. Keep him on low sugar grass hay and he is golden!

I will never understand why things happen the way they do. This is a hard life and sometimes the loss seems overwhelming. Horses are the most kind and spiritual creatures I have ever met and when they leave this world too soon it leaves a huge hurt that nothing but time seems to heal. I always ask “why didn’t I do something sooner or could I have done more?” God hold Chewey in your arms today and know that we love him and will miss him❤️😭

Hello my name is Chewy. I am an owner surrender that joined the BHGER clan a few months ago. My people are finding out in this heat that I REALLY love water. I love it so much that I stand in the water trough and splash an play. Which in return leaves the water muddy and I won't let anyone drink.

Despite my people putting in a different water trough I like to go back an forth to each one. I, Chewy am wondering if someone out there has a decent size tub or kids swimming pool that they are willing to donate so I can still play in the water without bothering my brothers from another mothers water. Or if you are not able just enjoy the pictures of my shenanigans. I'm sure my people will be taking more.
