Walking D Shoeing, owned by Dalles Lappin, over 15 years of experience. Patient and gentle, from young horses to old, all sizes from minis to drafts. Barefoot trimming, cold shoeing, hot shoeing, corrective shoeing, will work with your vet and x-rays to properly set your horses how they should be, will do horses with navicular, lameness issues etc. One thing you will find from working with Dalles

is that if you have questions, he will give you answers, and explain what he is doing as well as why. He takes his time to make sure every horse he does is balanced and done properly. These hooves are from a new client horse. She was told she was having a thrush issue and that her horse had issues with his hinds and the frogs. The frogs were so overgrown that the old part of the frog was preventing it from growing. The horse didn't have thrush, he had dead sole and as you can tell from these he was overgrown in general. This is not what a normal trim should look like.

Working with the owner of this mare, we made the decision that glue on shoes would be better for the condition of her hooves. This mare slides when she steps wearing the front of the toe off on all 4 feet. Leaving not enough hoof wall for nailing. Epoxied on with a cap to seal between the shoe and hoof to prevent moisture from separating and causing the shoe to fall off.

Hello everyone I am moving back to idaho this week it is hard to let go what I have built down hear and will be sad that I won’t see a lot of good people I shoe for but it is time for me I will be back every 8 weeks to shoe down here and if I have enough horses to make it down Hear more I can make that work I hope everyone is doing good and if you have questions please feel free to send me a message.
