Athena
Born February 16, 2022
Resident of the Hinton SPCA 294 days.
Breed: Labrador Retriever
Dogs: Selective
Cats: No
Housetrained: Yes

Athena is bursting with enthusiasm and absolutely adores meeting new people. This smart and spirited girl is ready to find a forever home where she can truly shine.

She gets along well with children and enjoys the company of other well-balanced dogs, right now her best friend is another resident named Lenny, (featured in the photo below) though she’s not a good match for homes with cats.

One of Athena’s greatest strengths is her intelligence. With a consistent, patient owner and a bit of training, she’s sure to blossom into an exceptional companion.

Athena loves to play fetch and can’t resist a good rope toy. After a day of fun and adventure, she’s happy to curl up on her soft bed for some well-deserved rest.

If you’re looking for a loving, energetic dog who will thrive with a little guidance and lots of affection, Athena might just be the perfect addition to your family.

Meet Cookie! This lovable pup, who is as sweet as his name, is looking for his forever home.

Cookie walks well on leash and knows commands like "Sit" and "Shake-a-paw."

He absolutely adores people and would be thrilled to have a family that can shower him with affection. His favourite thing in the world is when multiplee people are rubbing his belly.

Thank you to our friends at Second Chance Animal Rescue who transferred this darling boy to us. During his time at SCARS Cookie lived with a foster home where he charmed everyone with his friendly personality. He was reported to be house trained and generally has great manners in the home.

Nala is a fantastic travel companion, riding smoothly in vehicles.
She would flourish in an experienced dog owner's care, especially one with a large yard who is committed to furthering her training and providing the love and attention she deserves. Give Nala the chance to shine in your home and be rewarded with endless love and loyalty in return!

Meet Quinoa.

She is a short haired, domestic cat, with a tuxedo coat.
She is a Polydactyl cat. (That means she has more than the usual number of toes) Did you know polydactyla are often considered lucky, especially by sailors. This belief stems from their history as ship's cats, where their extra toes were thought to improve balance and hunting skills, making them excellent mousers. Their reputation as good luck charms has persisted, man people associating them with attracting good fortune!

Quinoa had good fortune when she was found by a Good Samaritan with her two kittens and brought to the Spca to be cared for. Her kittens have found their forever home and now it’s Quinoa’s turn.
She can be a little slow to warm up, but once she gets to know you, she’s extremely loving and enjoys, giving lots of kisses .
