📍 Eugene, Oregon Puppy Meet-Up Opportunity! July 25, 2026

We'll be traveling through Eugene with a few of our available Miniature Dachshund puppies and are opening a limited number of in-person meet-and-greet appointments for families who are seriously considering adding one of our babies to their home.

We know choosing a puppy is a big decision, and while photos and videos are helpful, sometimes meeting them in person is the best way to know you've found "the one."

These visits are intended for serious prospective families who are actively considering placing a deposit and would like the opportunity to meet a specific puppy before making that commitment.

If you've been following our program and would like to schedule a meet-and-greet while we're in the area, please send us a private message with the puppy you're interested in. Appointment times will be limited and scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.

We look forward to helping you find your newest family member!

This is our last litter of the calendar year. We will start our program back up later this calendar year but the pups will not be born until 2027. So please stay tuned if any of the puppies are not your style.

Here at MRS Long Dog Ranch, we believe every dog deserves the perfect forever home.

Occasionally, life takes an unexpected turn. A family may experience changes in their circumstances, another breeder may be unable to continue their program, or we may decide that a dog we've held back for evaluation would be happier as a cherished companion rather than remaining in our breeding program.

Rather than viewing these dogs as "returns," we see them as dogs beginning a new chapter.

Our Companion Placement Program was created specifically for these wonderful young adults. Each has been raised with love, receives routine veterinary care, and has been well socialized in a home environment. Most are already familiar with crate training, house training, leash walking, car rides, and everyday family life—making the transition into their new homes much easier than raising a young puppy.

Every companion placed through this program receives the same commitment as our puppies, including lifetime breeder support, our lifetime health guarantee, and the reassurance that they will always have a home with us should life ever take an unexpected turn.

We take great care in matching each companion with the right family, because our goal has never been simply finding homes—it has always been finding the right homes.

😎Pinocchio (Male)
Originally retained as a potential future sire for our breeding program. After completing his health and genetic evaluations, we made the responsible decision to retire him from breeding. Today, he's looking for what he was always meant to have—a family of his own.

😎Clancy (Male)
Previously lived with a wonderful family but found that life in a multi-dog household wasn't the right fit for him. Since returning to us, we've learned he thrives with more one-on-one attention and would do best as the only dog in the home. Our goal is to find him the environment where he can truly relax and flourish.

😎Count Pickles (Male)
Originally placed with another breeding program. Due to unexpected life changes and relocation, he returned to our care. Rather than waiting several years for their program to resume, we've decided it's in Pickles' best interest to begin the search for his forever family now.

Pinocchio is back!!

He will be looking for he new family as soon as we have a few clear him and we have cleared him mentally.

Ps. Yes, I did tighten his seatbelt so he could not reach the driver seat after this photo was taken. But he is such a happy and loving boy.
