Memorial Day is about Honoring and remembering those (both 2 legged and 4 legged) military members that died in service to the United States. We would like to share a memorial that we found dedicated to Military dogs and their handlers that served our country. The picture is a statue located at the Highground Veterans Memorial Park located in Neillsville WI. www.thehighground.us Just south of Eau Clair, WI. It was interesting and humbling to see the tributes to the dogs and handlers that were memorialized there.
If sometime you have the opportunity to visit the Highground Veterans Memorial Park, it would be worth your time. They have multiple areas with tributes to the military service members that served in the different wars/conflicts. WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq. There is also tribute areas for Gold Star families, River of Tears memorial for widows and children, WASPs (Women Airforce Service Pilots), Native American military veterans, Military dogs and the Liberty Bell that traveled the US for the bicentennial celebrations. You and/or your kids can ring the bell if you want. There is also a museum that has exhibits which display the personal stories and artifacts of military servicemembers from different wars/conflicts. The themes and displays of those exhibits do change throughout the year.

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞? That is quite the story. The short version which isn’t very short is that my original name was Hank. I was supposed to be the son that Mom and Dad couldn’t have. So they bought me thinking I was a boy. They took me to the vet and were wondering if I had balls. The vet mentioned, I was not a he but a she, So “Her-she” seemed very fitting for a name. So I became Hershey and I have been balling every day since… with tennis balls.

𝐖𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲, 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬? My family also affectionally call me Herb. Herbey. Derp. Derpy doo.

𝐈 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐝𝐚𝐲? Yes, it’s a special day as I was born on the same day AS my dad’s mom March 21st. So, you know I am the special grand pup.

𝐑𝐮𝐦𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐢𝐭, 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐭. Yep! my BFF is Otter and he is indeed a cat.

𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝, 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐢𝐭 𝐛𝐞?
Cheese or broccoli.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐧? I have a taste for Socks. Not weird as in 1 sock... but hundreds of socks.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐞? My human sisters have many stuffed animals and dolls that I have roughed up. Some of them may have been destroyed in my enthusiasm.

𝐃𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐨? I don’t want them to find out, but it is Mum and Dad’s bed when they aren’t looking.

Hi, this is Mazzie from Team Four Paws Bed and Biscuit (FPB&B), sharing news of another fun and successful Easter weekend!
We hosted our annual Easter egg hunt again this year, and it continues to be a favorite—judging by the pups’ excitement. As expected, every treat-filled egg was quickly discovered. One unlucky stuffed duck, which had an egg hidden inside, was thoroughly roughed up before finally surrendering its prize—I have a feeling it may decline participation next year!
We also welcomed both new and returning members to the “FPB&B Clean Bowl Club.” The pups enjoyed a festive feast of ham, potatoes, carrots, and a strawberry for dessert. It’s become a beloved tradition, and one the dogs clearly look forward to every year.

We are happy to share some news about one of our good boys! Mr. Jax has officially been adopted by the Miller Family and is enjoying his jackpot life. Snoozing on the couch, making friends with the cat, and bonding with his new people. Thank you to everyone that share about Jax’s story. Happy to say he’s finally home😊

Merry Christmas to all,
This is Maziey from the Four Paws Bed and Biscuit. We would wish all pups and their owners a very Merry Christmas and Happy Howlidays. I would like to report that we have a full house this weekend and that every pup received a special dinner of Ham, potatoes, green beans and carrots. I am proud to say all pups are in the Christmas Chapter of the Four Paws Bed and Biscuit Clean Bowl Club. Attached are a few pictures of the members that we could get pictures of. We could not get every pup as they finished dinner lickey split. They all will get peanut butter treats later for dessert. We hope all pups received what they wanted for Christmas. On that note, we know of one boy that got what he wanted. His own family! That's right, Jax has a family that stepped up and opened their home to him. He appears to be fitting right in. 🙂🙂🙂

Jax, a sweet 9‑year‑old Aussie mix, came to stay with us while his owner was hospitalized. Sadly, his owner has since passed away, and now Jax needs a new forever home.

🎾 Loves walks, playing fetch, and keeping watch by the door

🏡 House‑trained, crate‑trained, and knows basic commands

❤️ Best suited for a home without other pets or small children

We are wishing everyone a blessed and wonderful Thanksgiving. One of our blessings that we are grateful for is the friends and pups we have had the pleasure of meeting and caring for.
The pups that came to visit us over Thanksgiving, shared a dinner of Turkey, sweet potatoes, green beans, gravy and pumpkin bar treats. Attached are some of the pups digging in. Most pups earned their place in the Clean Bowl Club, however there were a couple that did not like to eat their veggies, LOL
For the pups that did not visit, please give them an ear scratch or butt rub for us. And we hope everyone a safe and festive holiday,
