🐴👀4️⃣🏡

TOPPER:
14 yr old GRADE Paint/TN Walker
Gelding
15.1H
~ThreeThousand~
Location: Goodrich, WI
Confident Intermediate rider & up.
References REQUIRED

Sire: Northwoods Thunder Walker (Triple Reg. Spotted TN Walker)
Dam: Blazing Commander (Reg. APHA)

Up to date on Coggins, & Feet (Needs front shoes). Ridden in slight twist snaffle.

Topper is a large, beautiful guy with a big heart & wanting to have his own human. He has been shown in 4-H (Western pleasure & Gaming), parades, local shows, trail rides, & road rides.
He has been exposed to farm machinery, four wheelers, endless kid interaction, dogs, farm critters, & so much more.

CONS:
He has a great personality but suffers from pressure anxiety. He needs a confident but calm soft handed rider. When he is in any closed space when riding (as seen in video) OR held back from being the leader on a trail. He chews at the bit & head tosses. Now if I was to be overly pushy with him & not allow him to move out & enjoy the ride he becomes overwhelmed & WILL rear. He does what is asked but is best suited for leisure trail riding & an easy going human personality ONLY.

ADVANCED Rider/Trainer 💥 References REQUIRED💥

Suited for Halter (As she is beautifully built) or trail riding. Unless the individual has experience in training for show western pleasure.

Back story on Gambler. She was born, raised, & trained on the farm. She is basic trained. (Direct rein, w/t/c, stop, back)

Has been exposed to farm machinery, four wheelers, dogs, farm critters, & so much more.

Great on trails, either the leader or in the middle of the pack.
Gambler is a nice horse when not pushed. She has bucked from being pushed to canter. (Body Adjustments, health checked. Nothing wrong with her besides she has attitude & WILL test you.) She enjoys the leisure life of walk & trot.

A hard day. Dealing with cold and snow is part life in Wisconsin. And part of life is when one of your old four legged friends crosses the Rainbow Bridge. You know it's coming when you see their bodies start to fail them, their sparkle is less, their steps are slow, and the look in their eyes is tired. Gretchen horse was one of the last horses that our kids grew up with. She was a chestnut mare that anyone could ride, went on countless trail rides, parades, and taught endless kids how sweet a horse could be. She loved being brushed and was just a gentle friend. She was in her late 20s and was ridden with a hack a more so kids never had trouble getting her bridled. I am going to miss her. I know that her old buddies, Sammy the mustang, Georgia the Appaloosa, Lucky, Doc, Katie, Shadow, and Shock'em will be waiting for her to run on green pastures. Happy Trails beautiful girl.
**Please enjoy some old photos of Gretchen with some of the kids she taught to ride. ❤️

A Public Service Announcement on what to name your horse.

10/21/2017

Sometimes at the farm you have to go the distance to give a horse a name.

It was coggins day on the farm today. Somehow, we pulled off doing 45 blood tests in 53 minutes, in 3 locations on the farm 🤗! This task can not be done with out lots of help from friends and boarders. And we Thank You! Show season and sale season are just around the corner and we are getting ready 🐴🐎. Happy trails ahead!

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!!

Hello my favorite horse people!! Was messaged tonight by the lady, Paula, whose message is below! Please share and please keep your eyes and ears open in hopes of helping this family find their horse! I can't imagine how they're feeling. 😥
Paula's message:
Hi my name is Paula Zarra, my daughter's horse was taken from a ranch in Princeton, Kentucky. Chicky is a 16 year old Chestnut quarter horse. She has a left hind stocking and and right hind sock. No white on her front legs. She has a full blaze. Chicky was caught up in a recipient mare switch. The ranch believes she may have been sent to Northern Texas or Southern Oklahoma, HOWEVER, she could be anywhere. We are absolutely devastated. We are offering a reward. We would appreciate any information you could share or post about our search for her. Please visit this link for more info https://netposse.com/view_report.asp?reportid=3759
