Well folks it’s the message no one wants to see, we are closed for the season. We had such a large turnout last weekend we are completely picked out of apples. Hopefully next season we will have a few more Pink Lady’s and more Fuji as those trees mature another year.

2024 has been a roller coaster for sure. We were blessed with great spring weather and had a pretty good crop of peaches and apples. I was also blessed with regards to my health. I cannot give enough praise to Jack for stepping up and shouldering the responsibility of running the orchard. I am confident he will be able to keep my dad’s vision going strong for many years.

I also want to thank my mother, uncle Glen and aunt Virgie, Makenzie, Sandra, Cameron, my wife and the crew from Agriberry for all of their hard work. Without all of you none of our success this season would have been possible.

We wish all of you health and happiness in the coming months and holidays and can’t wait to see everyone again next June.

Good afternoon everyone, it’s apple picking time! We will be open this weekend 10/26-27 from 10 to 4 each day. We hope to be open the following weekend but won’t know for sure until after Sunday.

This season we have mostly Pink Lady apples along with some Fuji and Ambrosia. Prices are $2.99/lb. cash or credit card with NO entry fee or tickets needed. To help get you to the apple orchard we offer a hayride to and from. It’s a long walk carrying those big bags of apples 😁. Speaking of bags, we supply a couple different sizes or you are more than welcome to bring your own bags.

This weekend Lil Something Sweet donut truck will be here with apple cider donuts, hot apple cider and other snacks. And we have also restocked our jams, salsas and apple butters. In fact we have a few new selections so grab a sample while you are at the barn.

You can sit a while and enjoy your snacks or lunch under our covered picnic area. Your may bring your fur babies but please keep them on a leash and pick up from behind them.

The address is 6012 Elder Ridge Ln. Mechanicsville 23111. Go past the concrete driveway and turn left onto the gravel driveway and follow it to the barn. Please watch your speed in the neighborhood and coming down the driveway. We are in a neighborhood so don’t be surprised.

Good morning everyone. A quick update for apple picking. We’re going to open the weekends of 10/26 and 11/2. It’s about a week later this year but that’s due to how the calendar fell and the apples were a little late blooming because we didn’t have a very warm spring.

I’ll make another update closer to the first weekend with details of varieties, what apple butters, jams and salsas we’re going to have plus an update on the donut truck.

It’s nice to see the sun shining today. It’s a beautiful morning in the orchard. Just a reminder this is our last weekend of peach picking for the season. Hours are 9 to 3 Saturday and Sunday.

From our family to yours we thank all of you for making this a wonderful season and we wish everyone health and happiness until apple picking in October.

Good morning everyone. I have good news and bad. The good news is it looks like Debbie won’t cause us too much trouble so we will be open for pick your own this weekend. The bad news is this will be the last weekend of pick your own peaches for the season.

Our hours will be 9 to 3 Saturday and Sunday with last entry at 2:30. We have three different size bags to put your yellow freestone peaches or nectarines in or you can bring your own bags. Prices are $2.49/lb for either. We will also have pre picked peaches available at the barn for the same price. And we accept cash or credit cards.

We won’t have any seconds available this weekend but there is a possibility we may have some available next week. If we do I will post the details early next week.

We still have some salsa, jams and bbq sauces available for sampling and sale at the barn. And like always feel free to use the covered picnic area for snacks or lunch. The weather looks great.

Our address is 6012 Elder Ridge Ln, Mechanicsville VA 23111. Go past the address and turn left on the gravel road and follow it to the barn. It will be a little wet in places so don’t wear your best shoes. And pets are welcome as long as they are leashed and you clean from behind them.

Good morning everyone. We are getting close to the end of peach season. We will be open this weekend most likely the following weekend and maybe the weekend of 8/17, it’s still a little early for us to know for sure yet.

This weekend we will be open our normal hours of 9 to 3 with the last entry at 2:30. We will keep an eye on the weather and will only close if there is lightning or heavy rain. We have yellow freestone peaches and some nectarines available both pick your own or pre picked at the barn. Prices are $2.49/lb for either. We have three different size bags for you to choose from or you can bring your own bags. Sorry no seconds this weekend but possibly next weekend.

Also this weekend we welcome back Lil Something Sweet donut truck for a variety of sweets and awesome peach tea. And as always you can use our covered picnic area to enjoy your peaches or sweets.

We still have a great selection of jams, jellies, salsas and bbq sauces. Including our best selling 360 Traffic Jam. And this weekend we will have more fresh picked blackberries from our friends at Agriberry.

Our address is 6012 Elder Ridge Ln. Mechanicsville. The driveway is the gravel driveway on the left. Just turn in and follow to the barn. We are located in a neighborhood so please watch your speed coming in and out and also coming down the gravel driveway.

Good morning everyone. Looks like we’re finally going to have great weather the entire weekend!

This weekend we will be open Saturday 7/27-7/28 from 9 to 3 each day with the last entry at 2:30. We are picking yellow freestone each day and we will have white freestone also. Prices are $2.49/lb for each and we accept cash or credit cards.

We are located at 6012 Elder Ridge Ln. Mechanicsville. This is a neighborhood so don’t be surprised and please watch your speed in the neighborhood and coming down the driveway. Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed and you clean up from behind them.

We also still have a great selection of jams, salsas and bbq sauce. And you can also use our covered picnic area to enjoy lunch or snack on just picked peaches.

This week’s recipe is peach prosciutto flatbread.

Ingredients
Sliced peaches
Sliced prosciutto
Olive oil
Mozzarella cheese
Balsamic vinegar
Arugula
Bread- tortillas, pita or nan bread your choice

Instructions
-Slice and grill peaches for a minute or two each side
- drizzle olive oil over bread of choice
- add peaches, prosciutto and mozzarella and place on grill or in oven until cheese is melted
- remove from heat and add arugula and balsamic vinegar
- enjoy

Good afternoon everyone. This weekend we will only be open Saturday from 9 to 3. We could experience some rain and unless we have lightning in the area we will stay open. Last entry is 2:30.

I would ask that you check here or call before you come to see the latest update. And don’t forget we are in a neighborhood so please be courteous of the neighbors. And please watch your speed coming to the barn.

This week we picking PF-17’s. They are a really nice, sweet yellow freestone. We might have a few nectarines left but no whites and no seconds. We will have pre picked yellow at the barn. Prices are $2.49/lb for all fruit.

We do allow pets as long as they are leashed and you pick up behind them. There are numerous wild animals that live around the orchard and unfortunately they aren’t housebroken, so watch your step.

I think the season will go through the weekend of 8/10, Saturday and Sunday only.
