Our caregivers are fully trained in pet first aid and CPR. Each day, your baby will receive a comprehensive wellness check from our caregivers which will give you total peace of mind that he/she is well cared for. We know that each pet is unqiue and each owner knows their pet best. So, we keep our base lodging rate as low as possible, to allow our pet parents to choose the level of activity that’s best for their pet child. Our experience has shown that high levels of interaction and physical activity result in happier and healthier pets, especially when they’re away from home. This August, we’re excited to shine our Staff Spotlight on one of our newest—and brightest—team members: Katie! In just three months at Greenlin Pet Resorts, Katie has made a lasting impression with her incredible work ethic, creativity, and deep love for animals.

A recent high school graduate, Katie is headed to the University of Richmond this fall to study biology, bringing the same determination and passion to her academic journey that she brings to work every day. She graduated with distinguished honors—all while taking college-level classes. Her goal? To become an avian and exotic animal veterinarian.

Katie’s life has always revolved around animals. At home, she cares for an impressive menagerie that includes her two rescue dogs, Poppy and Lizzie, two cats, a parakeet, a horse, and some fish. Her experience shows—every job she’s ever had has involved working with animals, and it’s easy to see how naturally it comes to her.

Outside of work and school, Katie loves being outdoors—whether it’s hiking, biking, swimming, or horseback riding. She’s also a talented baker and cook, often bringing delicious homemade treats to share with her lucky coworkers. Her creativity doesn’t stop in the kitchen—she also enjoys drawing, painting, and anything artistic.

At Greenlin, Katie’s favorite activities are pool time with the dogs and Puppy Academy, where her patience and positivity shine. She especially enjoys learning each dog’s name and personality, saying, “It’s always nice to see one of your favorite dogs at work—and even better when they recognize you too!”

If Katie could share one piece of advice with a new team member, it would be: “Ask questions—there’s a lot to learn, and that’s okay!” Her curiosity, persistence, and love of learning make her a fantastic teammate and role model.

We’re so lucky to have Katie on our team, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things she’ll accomplish in the future. Congratulations, Katie, on being our August Staff Spotlight—we’re proud to have you as part of the Greenlin family!

Pet of the Month - Wednesday!

We’re thrilled to introduce our August Pet of the Month: Wednesday, a one-year-old German Shepherd, Poodle, and Black Lab mix with a heart as big as her love of fun! With her striking, wolfhound-like appearance (a common guess among admirers!), Wednesday has captured the hearts of everyone at Greenlin—and it’s easy to see why.

Wednesday has been part of the Greenlin family for the past six months—literally half her life! In that time, she’s become a fan favorite, always eager to greet her best friend Wren and her favorite camp counselors. “School” days are her favorite, filled with play, learning, and endless tail wags. No matter what’s on the agenda, Wednesday brings her unique brand of joy and enthusiasm to every moment.

Born in Arkansas and rescued into a loving forever home, Wednesday is a pup who knows how to enjoy life to the fullest. Her favorite snacks are as unique as she is: mini marshmallows, “water cookies” (that’s ice to the rest of us), yak chews, aged parmesan cheese, bananas, carrots, and blueberries. It’s a snack spread fit for a queen—and Wednesday certainly deserves the royal treatment!

When she’s not living it up at Greenlin, Wednesday enjoys walking City Island, playing in any body of water she can find, and spending time with her Grandma and Luna, Grandma’s dog. One of her most special and silly habits? Blowing bubbles in water at Grandma’s house and chasing birds while watching planes overhead—a true explorer at heart.

Wednesday’s perfect day is delightfully detailed: waking Mom up at 6AM with a gentle lick to the nose, sticking her head out the car window while it’s raining, getting a refreshing bath, and finishing the day with a fun visit with Luna. Every day with Wednesday is full of excitement, cuddles, and just a hint of mischief.

We’re so lucky to have Wednesday as part of the Greenlin family. Her spirit, energy, and love for life remind us why we do what we do. Congratulations, Wednesday—you’ve truly earned your spotlight as our August Pet of the Month!
