Apple Bottom Farm At Apple Bottom Farms, we put the junk in the trunk of our show stock; pigs, goats, and cattle! Here on the farm, we are always up to something!

We raise livestock to show, sell, and eat while growing what we can to be self sufficient. There is nothing like knowing where your food comes from!

So grateful for the help over the weekend collecting honey from our own Apple Bottom Honey Bee hives.

Sophie worked the hive, Conner got stung watching from the sidelines, Grammy Sheryl and Steve spun the frames and filtered it but together, we harvested over 35 pounds of beautiful honey.

Thinking about selling some on the stand… who would be interested in fresh spun summer honey?!?!

There are good days and bad days on the farm. Conner had both this week. The excitement of a long anticipated hen hatching babies and the despair of that hen being destroyed by predators over night leaving 1 chick to survive.

You can bet that little chick will be beyond spoiled in the hands of our little boy.

Thank you for the support! We know eggs can be a lot cheaper in the grocery store lately BUT those are dull production birds with pale yolks.
These eggs are dark yolked, fresh laid butt nuggets from our yard birds on grass, in the sun, and fed quality feed that isn’t cheap. There’s no comparison for a couple bucks of quality for you and your family.

Just our opinion. Try them yourself :)
