Available for adoption through the Farm of Misfit Critters. This gorgeous guy is currently accepting offers for his family. Great with dogs. He loves kids. He loves men. He loves women. Other cats are questionable. He seems ok with females and kittens, even cuddling up with them. However he is a laid back guy and other males may bully him. Although he is fine with our 3 other males, all are neutered. Chance is about 3 years old, neutered and vaccinated. He allows my niece to carry him all around when she visits and, in his former home, preferred the company of the youngest child. Very laid back. Curious. Cuddly. This is a wonderful cat, but in full disclosure, this is his 2nd time in rescue. He was originally dumped at a gas station on a busy road. Then, adopted by a great family. He was king of the house as the only cat. After about 8 months, this wonderful family took in 2 other strays. Then, a 3rd showed up who was an alpha. A true tom cat who didn't want to live inside but enjoyed visiting. And bullying Chance. This was too much for our boy, and he stopped using the litter box. So he came back to us and has been here about 5 months. Upon arrival, we started retraining him to use his box again. We call it kitty boot camp. He started in a cage with his food, water, and litter box. Then, he graduated to his own room, still having his own private "bathroom." Never once going outside of his box. The final step was full access to the house and other critters. 6 other cats and 4 dogs. Only 1 time in the first few days did he potty inappropriately, but we do still keep a litter box in his room. He prefers to use that one as opposed to those in the basement but the room is open to all and he does not seem to mind if the other cats use his box. For the most part, he doesn't interact with the other cats. Except for the kitten, Pumpkin. They played and wrestled until Pumpkin was adopted. But Chance is peacefully coexisting with all other critters and using his box 100%. Chance is simply a cat who is more sensitive than most and he needed his confidence boosted. That gives him personality galore. So if you're in need of a companion. Or your dog needs a friend. Or your kiddo has been bugging you incessantly for a pet come meet Chance. You won't be disappointed. Adoption fee.
