I want to thank everyone who donated to the fundraiser. I am not able to thank everyone personally because Facebook isn't allowing to see each amazing person who donated. I want you to know that we really appreciate your support and are very grateful for your generosity. It looks luke we will even have enough funds for the castration. I will post pictures of the lucky guy!
Also thank you to all who shared this post.
Together we can achieve most goals.

Hello everyone,
About a week ago, we got a call from a person in tucson who owned 2 donkeys, has had them for about 5 years. Well after 5 years you would think she learned about donkeys, their health, behaviors etc.. well no!
Both jacks, 1 hasn't been feeling well for a while, no money to care for them, no trailer to go to vet, really she had no business owning donkeys.
I called our friend and partner Thonetta Wang-Bartlett and asked her if she would be willing to go get them, she lives closer and I wasn't able to get away. It seemed like an emergency.
Of course immediately she asked her son, Houston to go pick the donkeys up.
He took them straight to the emergency vet in gilbert.
The poor donkey had been starving slowly, the stronger one beating him up and fighting for food. His liver wasn't well.
The vet did blood work gave meds and sent him home. He died the next morning. May he rest in peace. Apparently he had been starving very slowly. Some people shouldn't own animals if they are not willing to learn how to care for them. I told the woman, she had no business owning donkeys. Even after 5 years she was ignorant and didn't recognize the signs of illness. We are also going to get the other unhandled jack castrated.
Anyway the bill was nearly 1200.00. Thonetta paid the bill and always helps us with any emergency cases.
I would like to try to raise money to help Thonetta replenish her emergency fund account.
Any donation is appreciated and tax deductible.
Please help if you can, Thonetta is always there for us, please be there for her.
