Whitney and Baby Bell are off to their new home with Kraig and Rebecca Ellis.
As hard as it was to let them go, we are so very happy and excited for their new beginning. Whitney decided she liked her new people and we are positive she will be just fine and so happy. Blue Bell is just a love bug so no worries there. They will be friends with Felix and Churro who were adopted from us last year.
Happinass!

Whitney is finally coming around after all this time. It will be hard to see them go but I know they will be loved and well taken care of.

🫏🫏🫏$$$$5.00 Friday$$$$🫏🫏🫏

We used to do 5.00 Fridays, and it helped a great deal for some of the daily expenses.
We are going to try again and hopefully will get your support.
For those who do not know our history, we have been a 501c3 since May 2014 but have rescued animals for way longer.
We specialize in rehabilitation and rehoming.
We take in unwanted, abused and or slaughter bound donkeys and mules and sometimes horses.
We have rescued over 400 longears. We have about 25 permanent residents. These found their way to us and were unable to be rehabilitated or had health issues.
We spend a lot of money on hay and grain/supplements for the oldies. A load of hay cost us about 8000.00 and last about 4 months. We spend about 300.00 a week on pellets, beet pulp and senior food. You could also sponsor a resident. We have Carlos, Pepe and Victor, our newest permanent residents and they could use a sponsor :)
We can always use your support, if it's 1.00, 10.00 or 100.00, it is all appreciated. Donations are tax deductible.
We also have Paypal at [email protected]
Zelle at [email protected]

Thank you for your support.

Welcome back Carlos. FAILED AGAIN!!!! Not sure if anybody remembers him but he came to us from a bad situation a couple of years ago. He was rescued by our friend Thonetta. I screenshot the post I made when he first arrived here 2 years ago.
He is a blm donkey so traced his past. He had been Tip trained by a trainer we knew. He was very scared, Jacque worked with him, regained his trust and he was ready for his new home. The trainer wanted to take him back. She promised to keep him or if unable to, she would return him to us. She signed the contract. Well she didn't keep her promise, she sold him to ropers who returned him after a while, apparently he was attacking the horses. There, he was kept in a small pen being harassed by dogs pretty badly.
A neighbor took him away from the trainer and called us after a few months when she wasn't able to work with him. She said he was aggressive. He spent about a month at Thonetta and also showed some aggression while being there. He was probably so scared from being passed around and not knowing his future. He was delivered to the rescue this morning. He remembered being here and seems happy. He took treats and allowed us to love on him.
Poor guy, he was failed twice by the same person. But his worries are over now.
Welcome back, sweet Carlos.
