Some festive items can be dangerous for pets. Gift wrapping materials like ribbon, tinsel, bows and string can be tempting to chew but may cause choking or intestinal blockage if swallowed. Holly and poinsettias are toxic to pets and are best left out of the home. 🎁

Christmas tree water often contains bacteria, fertilizer or sap that can upset your pet’s stomach. People food and alcohol, including bones, meat, apple cores and fatty dishes, can cause pancreatitis or toxicity. 🎄🍗🍷

Candles can be knocked over by curious pets, creating a burn or fire risk. 🕯

Keeping these items out of reach helps ensure a safe and happy holiday for your pets. 🐾
