Spartan Strong

We want to send out a heart filled thank you to
Scott G. Varner, Mike Ferro and John Gruzinskas of the Marshall County Commission for taking care of Spartan's treatment. There are so many K9 Units that don't have this privilege and handlers find themselves relying on donations in times like these. We are lucky to have them in our corner.
If you see any of these gentlemen give them a Good Boy.
A pat on the head and a biscuit makes a nice touch too

we have a few signs and stickers left. More have been ordered

Today we got some Spartan Strong yard signs and stickers. If you would like one you can pick them up at Happy Tails 700 Marshall St, McMechen. Right now Happy Tails is not open to the public so we have some signs and stickers outside in the window flower box, the stickers are in a container. We have a limited number so we ask that you please only take one, we have made another order and hopefully they will be here next week. I will put some out everyday as long as supplies last. We are not selling these, we just wanted a way for people to show their support. We have had people wanting to help with the cost of the signs, if that is the case the signs were $8, the stickers $1 and you can put the money in the night deposit to the left of the window. Any money we get will be put back into signs, stickers and the Spartan Strong fund.
Even if you don't get a sign or sticker you can still show your support by printing the Spartan Strong ribbon and display it in a window. We are asking that you take a picture of how you've displayed your sign or sticker. Post it in the comments of the Show your Support post pinned to the top of the page and let us know where you are. We would like Nate and Spartan to see how far their support reaches.

On Holy Thursday, we continue to follow Christ’s new commandment to love one another as we open a shower trailer and hygiene station on 18th Street in Wheeling with HoH-Share inc.

The trailer provides access to shower and laundry facilities for our neighbors who are experiencing homelessness during this pandemic. The hygiene station also includes portable restrooms, hand washing capabilities and camping supplies.

Thank you to all of the community partners who helped make this possible! And thank you to Msgr. Hudock for blessing this ministry today.

We are unfortunately still closed this week April 6-10, but I am at the shop each day for a little while taking care of some things and being available for donations to Noah's Pantry and now our friends at the House of Hagar Share could use some help. If you can volunteer they could use help with the Sanitation Station, or they could use help with supplies as well and you are welcome to drop them off at Happy Tails.
The list is short but they are much needed.
-Soap (Hotel/travel sizes)
-Shampoo (Hotel/travel sizes)
-Underwear
-Socks
-Laundry Detergent (liquid preferred)
They also need backpacks, tarps and tents (They have good 3 man tents at Walmart for $24.99) The easiest thing is to order online and have it mailed to
House of Hagar 114 14th St and they will take them over,
If you are dropping things off at the shop, call before you come and leave a message if no answer or you can have items shipped to the House of Hagar address above

We need volunteers to help our homeless friends stay healthy and clean during this pandemic !!!! 👉🏼HoH-Share will be managing the operations of the 18th St. Hygenie Station. If you are 18 or older and would like to help those without homes or utilities have access to showers, hand washing, porta Johns and camp supplies, please PM or text 304-218-8373 or email: [email protected]. We will provide gloves and mask while socially distancing.
What a great day!!! When we work together, great things happen!!! The shower trailer is in Wheeling for use by our folks who are without a home right now.

A huge thank you to our community partners:Catholic Charities West Virginia Wheeling (Mark Phillips), Community Lutheran Partners (Sherri Schafer) who reached out to WVVOAD (Jenny Gannaway and Bethany Bentley) who called The American Baptist Men (Jack Cobb) who responded by bringing their 4 stall shower trailer with stacked washer/dryer unit to Wheeling, City of Wheeling for helping get needed equipment and Adam Bedway for helping us set up, Nic for bringing tools and Kylie for being the first to volunteer!❤️ #WeAreInThisTogether

Together we’ll do some good

Happy Tails Pet Salon is a small locally owned and managed pet grooming facility. When we say small we mean 2 employees, the owner/groomer Terri Lindsey and the manager/bather Ethel Brown. Since we first opened our doors on Feb. 23rd, 2006 we have been active volunteers in the community and fundraising. We have been blessed with a support system of family, friends and customers that are considered our Happy Tails Family. Fortunately with the growth of our business our community involvement grew as well. So much so, we realized we could offer more support to groups and individuals if we organized and consolidated our energies. This led to the creation of Happy Tails Paw It Forward and without the partnership of the Marshall Co. Family Resource Network (FRN) would not have been possible. Working through the FRN we are able to receive tax deductible donations that enables us to help community organizations, individuals in need and grass roots programs that too often struggle for support. Our efforts aren't just local like: Helping Heroes, CASA for Children, individual medical and disaster recovery efforts, area animal shelters, local K9 Units and area First Responders, but includes sponsoring K-9 First Aid Kits and needed training for K-9's and their handlers throughout the US. Paw It Forward is solely funded by donations and the fundraising efforts of volunteers and Happy Tails. Be assured every dollar goes into the programs, not operating costs. Please check out our posted brochure to see more ways we help and ways you can Paw It Forward as well

**6/17/18 STILL MISSING** Please help bring him home! Hi my name is Ace and I’m lost! My dad was working with me on my new invisible fence boundaries. I tested the limits got shocked and ran off now I’m lost. My mom and dad have looked for me everywhere but can’t find me. I was last seen around 6 pm 6-13-18 by the old covered bridge at Chambers ridge road and was headed toward Pennsylvania Maybe or maybe not I’m not a bloodhound and not good with directions. That’s why I’m lost. I’m shy and won’t come to strangers and I’ve never been away from home this long or so far away, so my mom is crying that ugly cry I’m sure. If you see me please pm her or call my mom at 614-323-4148 so I can get home! I live on Laidley Run Road in Valley Grove. Thanks Ace 🐾
