It is owned by Cory & Melody Martin. I married Cory in 2001, we are parents of two boys, & we enjoy our quiet, slow-paced life. I have owned & loved horses all my life, & I was inspired by the movie "Black Stallion." I purchased a Friesian Sporthorse in 2002, & we constructed our stable barn in 2016.

I captured a couple of photos of the bald eagle that visits us.
I was about 450 feet away using my Canon Rebel T3, since she’ll fly off the moment she sees me still. Every time she returns feels like a blessing.

I’ve seen her dozens of times, and with her incredible eyesight, I can’t help but hope she’ll begin to recognize my face and build trust with us. What a gift to witness her in the wild. 🦅✨

A beautiful evening celebrating John & Konne Scott’s 50th wedding anniversary — a legacy of faith, family, and love that endures.

Cory and I also marked our 24th anniversary this weekend, and it was so special to share the night with FHAOK friends and a little dancing. Cory and Hudson looked sharp in their new cowboy hats!

We missed those who couldn’t make it.
Grateful for nights like this — the kind that remind us what really matters. 💍💏

I had such a great day at the clinic hosted by J9 and instruction by Carl Martin with the Friesian Horse Association members. I met so many wonderful new faces—both horses and humans—and came home with fresh knowledge, encouragement, and a sweet surprise for Lorelei that made the day extra special. 🌟

Everyone was so uplifting, and it reminded me that while we each face our own unique challenges, we’re also like little shooting stars—braving the ride, learning as we go, and shining in our own way. ✨

Grateful for this Friesian community and the journey we’re on together.

The girls were full of play today and soaking in the calm before the storm.
I could watch them for hours…
There’s something about their movement that reminds me of lightning in the distance—raw power wrapped in grace. ⚡🐴
As the thunder rolls in, they know right where to go—back to their barn, where it’s safe and dry.
Nature is amazing to watch when you slow down long enough to feel it. 🌩️💛

Everything feels fresh and tidy today 🌿
Clean windows, stock tank, buckets, floors—even the feed bins and bathroom got some love.
The barn’s all aired out, and the girls seemed to enjoy watching their maid service—ha!
Nothing fancy, just the kind of clean that makes barn life feel a little less itchy. 💛🐴

I learned so much about my riding—plenty of areas to grow, and I’m excited for the journey ahead. Lorelei was such a good girl and even caught the attention of a handsome Andalusian stallion who couldn’t stop checking her out! 😄
She’s definitely a lady of the barn—everyone just adores her. Feeling grateful for the experience and the kind people we met today. 🖤🐴

Today I stopped by the McLoud Library and renewed my membership with the Friends of the Library! I left with more than just a card—free flower seeds, a spark of inspiration from their summer reading challenge, and some amazing tools to create my own graphics circuitprinter!
