It's time to embrace the sunshine and warmth with our June Camper of the Month, Lucy Meiners!☀️ Lucy is a 5-year-old Labrador Retriever that has been a camper with us for 3 years now! She mostly does daycare with us with a boarding stay occasionally! Lucy surely takes the cake for being one of our sweetest girls here. She has nothing but love behind all those wiggles when she trots through our doors! Lucy isn't one of our biggest players here, she's always been more of a counselor dog for sure! If you make eye contact with her big doe eyes, she will come right up to you and demand all the butt scratches and belly rubs she can get! She really is one of the sweetest pups we have met, and we are so thankful that she is part of our pack here at camp! Let's all give a warm congratulations to miss Lucy on being our June Camper of the Month!💐🐾

Meet Edison! This lovable pup faced a challenging journey with bilateral front leg fractures. With a medical grant from the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation and the care of the dedicated team at the French Bulldog Rescue Network, Edison received the surgeries and care he needed.

Through physical and water therapy, Edison gradually regained his strength and is now able to dash around and play just like the joyful pup he is. Now, he's thriving in his forever home, surrounded by love.

Our Story

Camp Bow Wow® is the leading pet care franchise and is all about Happy Healthy Pets and Happy Healthy People. Opening in February 2008, Camp Bow Wow McHenry is dedicated to providing a safe and upscale environment for dogs to play, romp and receive lots of love and attention! We provide dog day camp for clients wishing to drop their dogs off in the morning and pick them up in the evening, as well as overnight boarding for travelers. We have a full service training department called Behavior Buddies as well as a full service grooming facility. Parents feel confident knowing their pet is well-cared for in our safe and secure environment: -All Camp Counselors are extensively trained in dog behavior, pet first aid and CPR -Each Camper is required to pass a socialization interview, be spayed or neutered, and be current on vaccinations -Live webcams to check in on your dog from anywhere using a computer or mobile device -Facilities are monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
