Blaze!

For the last day of Month Blaze gets the spotlight! This goofy and sweet gelding is a favorite at the ranch as he says hi to everyone, enjoys pets and scratches and truly loves to hang out with humans. He is in his mid twenties and retired from riding but really enjoys groundwork & lunging. The perfect home would be a retirement pasture to enjoy, where he gets lots of human love and be a companion to other horses.

And just like that we wrap up aspcarighthorse month. Thank you aspca for featuring horses in need all month long and supporting rescues nationwide in an effort to adopt to loving new homes! ASPCA ASPCA Right Horse

Adopted: Huckleberry!

Imagine you are a horse desperate to be some horse’s best friend, and you are patiently waiting at MVHR. A wonderful home comes along where a horse just as playful as you is looking for the same thing….and then you meet…you wonder could this be that best friend I’m looking for?…YES!!!it is!

These pictures are taken only a few minutes after Huckleberry met his best friend Rio at his new home. We are so happy for Huckleberry to have found the perfect companion home where he can just be himself. Matches made like these is what we strive for! ❤️

Buggs is ready for Glamour Camp!

In just under two weeks we kick off Summer Day Camp and Buggs can’t wait to participate while she waits for her forever home!

Buggs is a sweet black mare in her late teens who would love a home where she can be dotted on all day, go for leisure walks and get all the love she deserves. She is a fun groundwork horse and is ready to be in your pasture!

Barbie, who came with Buggs and 5 others through a neglect case is also ready to find her match. Barbie is a sassy grey mare in her early teens who would be adoptable to an experienced rider who can continue her riding training and take her on adventures.

May is month and both these ladies would love to find their person. If that is you, contact us to schedule a time to meet them! Find your through myrighthorse.org.

It's Adopt a horse Month!

The month of May marks the fifth annual Month. MVHR currently has 34 horses waiting for their next Chapter in their .
We're excited to spotlight some of them throughout the month available for adoption! ASPCA Right Horse

Rebel! This Handsome, lovely to handle companion gelding is a wonderful guy to be around on the ground if you are looking for a friend who would love some extra TLC in his later years.
And his new friend Maverick! This adorable little guy has been a ranch, trail and gymkhana horse for piles of kids throughout his life. He has some navicular changes that are well managed with balanced hoof care and could still be ridden by a small adult or child to the mailbox and back!

Lucky! This beautiful light palomino mare is in her twenties and is a wise soul looking for a special someone. Friendly and easy to handle on the ground, she loves attention and scratches and is smart and willing. Best suited to a ground work and companion opportunity, you could not find a more intriguing girl to get to know or a more beautiful horse to see out your window.

Smokey! Smokey is a 12 year old paint gelding who has so much potential. He is sweet and gentle on the ground, curious around people and good at learning new things. He is relatively green under saddle, but doing well. He would be a great prospect for someone with the time and expertise to bring him along to be just whatever they want him to be.

Larry! Larry is a twenty something dark bay goofy gelding who loves cuddles and grooms, and enjoys groundwork and lunging. He can no longer be ridden but is a gem to have around and love on!

All these horses are available for adoption and looking for their new home. To see all our available horses visit: www.mountainvalleyhorserescue.com/currenthorses or click the link in our IG bio!
