Hello.
I’m Minami, a baker of Marco’s dog bakery.
I’m from Japan, a mom of two boys and live in Mccordsville, Indiana.
My husband and I adapted Marco in November 2020 when he was 3.5 months old.
Marco is very sweet, cuddly, big baby, super nice to our boys and my-best-treats-tester!!
I grew up with dogs but I never thought of making them treats.
After we adopted Marco, our dog trainer gave me an idea of making homemade treats. He said “the best way to train your dog is finding the treats that they love for anything else.”
We tried some treats from the store but couldn’t find the best one. So I started making homemade dog treats.
It wasn’t difficult to find the recipe.
I knew dogs love peanut butter and our vet told us pumpkin puree is good for dogs’ digestion.
So I found the recipe with these two ingredients, AP flour, cinnamon powder, eggs and water.
But I didn’t really like to use AP flour and eggs. Then I switched to wheat flour. They were good too.
A few months after I started making the treats, I was a pregnant with our first son and made oatmeal pancakes because of my gestational diabetes. Marco was going crazy about that. So I searched if oats were good for dogs and they were actually really good for dogs. Then I switched to oats and tried to use the minimum ingredients.
Since then, I use only oats, peanut butter, cinnamon powder, veggies* and fruits**.
Thankfully, Marco and his friends love the treats so I decided to introduce to more dogs by opening a small bakery.
Please try our dog treats👍
