Part of this mission is provide spay and neuter for pets in the community at a more affordable cost. We will be teaming with multiple cities, rescue/advocate groups to aid in overpopulation in the RGV. This week we performed numerous pyometras which are life threatening uterine infections in unspayed female dogs that are triggered by hormonal changes following their heat cycle. Although it’s a magical experience when pets give birth and nurture their puppies, overpopulation is an issue we fight with daily in the RGV. Stay TUNED for Spay and Neuter events soon✨ Moreover, we enjoy seeing our patients grow and stay healthy as well as seeing multiple of our team members grow, learn and thrive in a field they truly love and have a passion for. 🐾 ✨✏️ MAKING A DIFFERENCE ✏️✨🐾 Dr. Rivera and our manager Kim collaborated with Sam Houston Elementary for Career Day for 3rd graders. This time Dr. Rivera’s baby Goldo joined in helping inspire children and sharing the importance of preventative care, responsibility and compassion when caring for animals at home and in our community. Her visit helped students understand how healthy habits can positively impact both pets and their families. Big thank you to McAllen ISD, directors and counselors from several districts that made this collaboration happen ✨ Special thank you to our client Jacqueline Cantu for organizing and coordinating this impactful experience. Through partnerships like these, Sam Houston Elementary continues to nurture curiosity, spark career exploration to all children ✨
