Tucker is such a good patient. We are hoping that tomorrow we will get even better news than today. Nothing is worse than seeing your baby in the hospital. For those of you who couldn’t see the little video, this is Tucker’s face when he saw his mama….

Tucker Update 6pm

Tucker is resting and happy to wake up to see his mom. He’s on sedatives to help him rest and heal. All of his oxygen numbers have improved greatly and he’s about ready to have his oxygen removed. They were going to check his blood tonight.

Tucker did regurgitate quite a bit but we think it may be that crappy hospital food they give him all the time. We brought him his own food all blended up that he loves and has been working his entire life. They said they will give him some is that tonight and see how he does.

Laurie had a good talk with him and told him to get better. His eyes sparkled.

We are hoping for even more improvement tomorrow and Laurie to take him outside to p*e for the very first time. Who likes those awful hospital bedpans anyway?

Funny Farm Rescue spent a wonderful day at the Voorhees Pediatric Facility visiting some beautiful children and reading the Farley book to them. Jack, Jesse, Farley, Adele, and Honey gave a lot of kisses. We missed Tucker who’s still in the hospital

When you feel life is difficult or hard, look at all of the wonderful things you have in your life that you don’t even think about. Things we all take forgranted.

It is amazing the joy animals bring to all of us, but to some, it brings smiles and happiness we never thought possible. A lick from Jesse can literally take away sadness and pain.

Thank you to the wonderful staff who did such a great job and who do an amazing job each and every day.

We are so happy to be a part of this community.

Tucker Update - 10:30pm

Friday Night Wish-List

We wish for just one thing, positive energy and thoughts for Tucker.

Laurie was able to visit Tucker in the hospital tonight. He was sedated so he will rest and heal. His oxygen is improving. There is no more talk of a ventilator. His blood numbers are great. He’s hooked up to so many machines and that’s hard to see.

He is eating 6X a day. He is alive and doing well. They said all of his numbers are doing great.

We can only hope each day is better than the last.

Our special friends from iGT from Egg Harbor Township came for their Annual Day Of Service .

This fabulous hard working group did a great job cleaning the pig areas, alpaca corral, horse pastures, and also assisted with our daily egg hunt.

What a wonderful group of humans!

The Girl Scouts of Sea Isle NJ came to the farm for their Day of Service Event!

These girls did a great job raking hay in the donkey pastures. They also brought a huge supply of donations for our animals - what a great day ❤️

Thank you Girl Scouts, parents, leaders, and organizers!

Tucker Update 2 days after surgery 12:00 Noon.

Doctors called with great news. They said Tucker has turned a corner for the better. His fed oxygen was turned down from 100% to 65% yet his body oxygen levels remain at 94%. He was given water and food last night through his feeding tube for the first time. All went well.

Today, he’s a different dog. Standing, energetic and happy. Laurie will go see him late this afternoon and we should have a pic or video to show later tonight.

We are so happy and relieved at this great news!!!

Tucker Update 8pm - 1 day after surgery

This picture was taken just a couple hours ago. Laurie was able to visit him for just 20 min. He was so happy to see her. When it was time for her to leave, he reached his paws under his gate as far as he could reach. Imagine seeing those paws reaching for you when you leave. Laurie could not hold back the tears.

Tucker’s face lights up when he sees his mom. She is the most important ingredient in his recovery. It was not easy for her to see him with a cone and hoses and bandages. One of the most frustrating things about any animal hospital is the vet usually tells you the worst case scenario. That doesn’t work with Laurie.

Anyone who tells her worst case, doesn’t know Laurie and they don’t know Tucker. Their bond is bigger than life itself!

Tucker’s oxygen level is 94. It was 77 at one point before he had surgery. He’s just on oxygen, not on a ventilator or any type of life support. He stands up all on his own. His stomach will receive real food tonight which we know will give him energy and the will to recover. It’s just been one day.

We should have another update at noon tomorrow. We know many of you have donated to his $20,000 vet bill and we can’t even begin to thank you enough.

Tucker isn’t just a dog. He’s a huge part of the Funny Farm and a huge part of this world. He’s our family. We know how much all of you love him.

Thank you.

Tucker Update 11:00 am (Thursday)

If you don’t believe in miracles, this will definitely change your mind. Not even one full day after his surgery…

TUCKER IS STANDING!!!!!

His spirits are high and he’s doing great!

Although his oxygen levels are a little lower than they want them to be, he does have pneumonia, which would explain that. We should get the results back from his trachea wash hopefully soon. This will allow the doctors to pinpoint the best medication for that.

The love that the world has for this amazing dog is simply overwhelming! We have all been sitting on the edge of our seats, hoping and praying for the best and this report is beyond what we could have ever hoped for.

We want to thank each of you for the positive energy, the prayers, the encouraging comments, the likes, and everything that you have done for Tucker and for The Funny Farm! There is not one thing that goes unnoticed or unappreciated.

This news is a complete miracle! Laurie’s mother, Joe, and many others just may have helped as well.

Thank you again for all of your love and support!

His vet bill will be nearly $20,000 we were told. We will do whatever it takes to give him the best life ever even If we have to have a soecial fundraiser just for him.

If you want to donate and you can, we would love and appreciate that but you certainly don’t have to. Your comments and love are just as critical.
