“Cricket” is a 2020 mare by Magnum and out of a Jessie James Jr mare. She place in or would have won several futurities and can hang with the best of them. She’s super personable and easy to be around. Stands at 15 hands tall, no buck bite or rear. She has no bad habits or vices. Ride her into the pocket and let her do the rest! She’s UTD on all vet work and ready to go down the road. I think she would excel as a rodeo horse. She is experienced youth jockey approved. Pm me for videos. PPE welcome at buyers expense.

Last weekend at the Da Bomb race Jesse and Willis had a great run placing 5th out of 210+. Willis is a 4 year old by famous bugs and we are so excited to see what the rest of his futurity year holds!

Often we trainers get caught up in the riding aspect of the horse and their progress (I’m as guilty as the next). However, it is nice to take a step back and see how far the horse has came as a whole during their time in your care.

Patches came in 3 weeks ago for a “restart” but we aren’t exactly sure how broke he was to begin with. He was literally terrified of me and everything that moved. Catching him in the stall was difficult, touching him was difficult, and to clean the stall with him in it.. that was an art. He has settled down so much with consistency and through building a positive bond with a human. He was in fight or flight mode before and that wasn’t a good thing for anyone around him. Now he looks for me when I come up the barn isleway, stands while I pick his stall, and even lets me approach him without shying away. Is it perfect? No, I’d love for him to be completely relaxed while I’m moving around him BUT that kind of trust isn’t built overnight. He is comfortable with me working him in the roundpen and even getting there with me on his back. He is so kind and wants to be a loving boy. Anyways, I’ll take the little wins and remind myself that horses like this are why I love what I do.
