Did you know June is National Pet Preparedness Month? Have you ever thought about what you would do with your pet(s) if you were caught in a natural disaster? Here is a great article put out by Red Cross on how to be prepared for a natural disaster, as well as how to handle the aftermath with your pets.

The best way to protect your household from the effects of a disaster is to have a disaster plan. If you are a pet owner, that plan must include your pets.

I am an Arizona native, born in Tucson now living in Mayer, and have been a lifelong animal lover. I began riding horses at about 8 years old, and began competing in state sponsored rodeos in middle school through college. After high school, I graduated on the Dean's List from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls with a Bachelors of Science in Equine Science. Following this, I worked on 2 thoroughbred breeding farms in Kentucky, as well as at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute as a personal and anesthesia technician for one of the surgical partners.

I completed my Veterinary Technician certification Summa Cum Laude from Penn Foster, and passed my National and State Licensing exams in early 2023.
