LAVERNE & SHIRLEY ARE STILL AVAILABLE?! ❤️

Seriously, y’all. We keep waiting for someone to realize what absolute little gems these two are.

Laverne and Shirley are still looking for their forever homes, and if you’ve met them at one of our adoption events, you already know exactly what we mean.

These girls are AMAZING puppies.

They’re young, happy, social, great with people, good with other animals, and they have done SO well getting out and experiencing the world with their foster family. They walk into our adoption events, meet strangers, hang out with other dogs, soak up attention and handle all the activity like little pros.

And somehow, they keep packing up at the end of the day and heading back to foster.

So we have to ask…

Did you meet Laverne or Shirley and find yourself thinking about her later?

Did one of them crawl into your lap?

Did you stop to visit and think, “She is SUCH a good puppy”?

Did your kids fall in love?

Did you walk away and then mention her again on the drive home?

Because maybe that was your girl. ❤️

Laverne and Shirley do NOT need to be adopted together. Each one is looking for a family of her very own, and both are ready to start the next chapter.

Sometimes adoption doesn’t happen in one big lightning-bolt moment.

Sometimes you meet a dog, go home…

and realize you can’t stop thinking about her.

If that’s Laverne or Shirley, maybe it’s time to come back for her.

🐾 A MESSAGE FROM PIP: APPARENTLY I HAVE A JOB NOW.

Hi, everyone. Pip here.

You may remember that I was an MSGBR rescue myself. Well, things have really changed around here because apparently I’ve been promoted to BIG FOSTER SISTER. 😂

Right now I’m helping raise Bruce & Goose, and I would like everyone to know that they are VERY good puppies.

I’ve been teaching them all the important stuff. How to dog. How to play. How to properly investigate the toy pile. And, of course, how to convince the humans that you haven’t had a treat in at least seven whole minutes.

Today, Bruce & Goose even went to work with Mom! Look at these little productive members of society. 😂

It’s kind of funny to think about.

Not so long ago, I was the MSGBR dog waiting for my own family. Now I have a home, a mom, and two foster babies I’m helping get ready for families of their own.

I’d say this forever thing is working out pretty darn well. ❤️

ANOTHER PETSMART ADOPTION EVENT IN THE BOOKS! ❤️

Yesterday was busy, fun, a little chaotic, and exactly what we love about adoption-event days. It was SO good to see so many of you come out to meet the dogs, visit with our team, and support MSGBR.

And THREE babies went home! 🥹

Sherri, Bart and Millhouse officially left the Simpsons behind and headed off to their forever homes. Three families, three happy endings, all in one afternoon. ❤️

If you stopped by, you also got to spend some time with Laverne & Shirley, who absolutely rocked their event. These two beautiful young girls are still looking for homes of their own. They’re wonderful with people, good with other animals, and showed everyone yesterday just how precious they are.

And we had some brand-new faces!

We welcomed Mama Callie and her babies, Moose, Goose, Zeus and Bruce, who arrived all the way from Georgia through our collaboration with A Cat and Dog's Friend Rescue Inc.. From a long ride north to their very first MSGBR adoption event, these babies had themselves a DAY.

And then there’s Howie. ❤️

Our last remaining baby from the 911 litter. His siblings have all found their people, and somehow this sweet boy is still waiting. Howie is such a great dog, and we know his family is out there.

Most importantly, yesterday gave so many of you the chance to meet the people behind these dogs. Our fosters, volunteers and team members who keep showing up, hauling crates, holding leashes, answering questions, cleaning up puppy p**p and doing whatever needs to be done.

Thank you to everyone who came out to visit us. Thank you to our incredible team. And congratulations to Sherri, Bart and Millhouse on finding forever. ❤️

Three more home.

And we’re already looking forward to the next one. 🐾

SIS IS TEACHING CALLIE HOW TO DOG. ❤️

And Callie is proving to be a very quick study.

Play with the other dogs. ✔️
Enjoy treats and bones. ✔️
Toss a basketball around the yard. ✔️😂
Sleep in the human’s bed all night. ✔️🫣

Yep. Callie slept with me last night.

And for everyone following along, here’s your friendly reminder that we rescue, we love these dogs, we listen to our trainers, we TRY to do all the things we’re supposed to do… and sometimes we fall short too.

Overall, this girl is doing incredibly well. Not one accident in the house. She’ll go into her crate, although she definitely isn’t a fan and lets us know about it before settling.

We’re also still being very cautious outside. She’s on leash with us on the property and will be for quite some time. On the tie-out, she stays close and seems perfectly happy just being near everyone.

But the best part?

We’re already watching her figure out life without puppies.

No babies depending on her. No job to do.

Just Callie, with Sis beside her showing her that there are toys to play with, bones to chew, people to snuggle and a whole lot of fun to be had.

She’s learning the ropes pretty darn fast. ❤️
