🐾 We found two boxes of kittens left at our east side door.
While we absolutely care about the wellbeing of every animal, we want to gently remind our community that Albins is a veterinary hospital — not an animal shelter or rescue.

Abandoning animals outside our building is unsafe for the kittens and creates challenges for our staff and hospitalized patients. We are not equipped or staffed to house surrendered animals long term.

They are being transported to the Animal Shelter.

We are writing to share some important news: our Charleston office will be closing permanently. This decision was not made lightly, but due to staffing challenges, we will be combining our services with our Mattoon location to continue providing the highest level of care.

What This Means for You:

Our last day of business in Charleston will be Tuesday, December 30, 2025.
All of your pet’s records will automatically transfer to our Mattoon location, so there’s no action needed on your part.
You’ll still see the same friendly faces when you visit—our team will be together under one roof!
We understand this change may be an adjustment, and we want to reassure you that our Mattoon location will continue to offer the same compassionate, high-quality care you’ve come to depend on.
