Some dogs earn their awards through dedication. Some earn them with good looks and undeniable charm.
And some earn them one run at a time on their journey to a healthier, happier life.

We’re proud of every dog that steps into the Run Free van! ❤️

This week, we had the opportunity to visit the Humane Society of Concord & Greater Cabarrus County and spend some time with three very special dogs: Esmond, Weston, and Zuko. ❤️

Visits like this are made possible through your support of the Run Fund.

Did they run?

Nope.

But that’s not what this visit was about.

For these boys, the win was getting out, experiencing something new, exploring the slatmill, and receiving one-on-one attention and enrichment.

Every dog is different. Some jump right in. Others need time to build confidence. And that’s okay.

We’re incredibly proud of Esmond, Weston, and Zuko for showing up, being curious, and taking that first step.

Thank you to the staff and volunteers for all you do, and thank you to everyone who supports the Run Fund and helps us provide these experiences for dogs waiting for their forever homes. 🐾

A 9-year-old dog still showing up and giving his best is exactly the kind of dog Run Free was built for.

Not every dog is training for speed. Not every dog is chasing personal records.

Sometimes it’s about helping a dog lose a few pounds. Build stamina. Stay mobile. Feel better in their own body.

Because at the end of the day, our goal isn’t to create athletes.

It’s to help dogs stay active, healthy, and happy for as long as possible.

Way to go, Charlie.

Run Fund Friday Update: We met adoptable Jolie and Stewie this past week and wanted you to meet them too! They’re waiting for their forever homes with the Humane Society of Charlotte and thanks to our community, we provided their fun run sessions at no charge! Your support helps us, give more shelter pups the chance to Run Free. Thank you!
