Louie is a sweet and energetic 1 year old cocker spaniel. He is the best combo of an adventure buddy and chill on the couch kind of guy. He happily greets other people. He would do best in a home that has an established routine and not a lot of activity inside the home.
Louie was surrendered to STS due to the split of his previous family. Louie is housebroken and crate trained. He does have some crate anxiety, that is being successfully managed by medication and ensuring the crate is used as a positive and safe place for him to reside. He is currently crated in his foster home during work hours. Apartments are not recommended as he does bark.
Louie’s person will need to allow time for an initial period of decompression as you will be his fourth home in the past year. Louie is responding well to a routine daily structure in his foster home. He is very responsive to redirection and recall. Louie’s adopter will need to have the intention to commit to his needs for basic training and confidence building. Louie enjoys playing with stuffing free toys and hanging out on the couch while enjoying a tv show. Louie knows shake, sit and lay down. He could use some basic leash training.
