Randall’s Dog Obedience is taking a break

Randall’s Dog Obedience, a trusted name in dog training for over 60 years, announces it is taking a break. The school, which has been offering expert training classes every six weeks for the last 60+ years is taking a necessary break from training.

Since our founding, Randall’s Dog Obedience has been dedicated to helping dog owners build strong, positive relationships with their pets. Over the past five decades, we have trained thousands of dogs and their owners, fostering a community of responsible pet ownership and well-behaved canine companions. We have thoroughly enjoyed seeing the successes of our training!

While this decision was not made lightly, it is necessary to allow us to take a much needed break. During our break, we encourage our clients and community members to stay connected with us through our page (Randall’s Dog Obedience) where we will provide updates as they are available.

We thank our loyal customers for their understanding and continued support during this time.

From Navarre Animal Hospital. A reminder on keeping pets safe in this heat. Please protect your furbabies!

With the high temps expected next week, here are some tips to watch out for in your dog or really any animal. Heat stroke can be a serious condition. Here are some common symptoms to watch out for :
1. Excessive panting: Dogs pant to regulate their body temperature, but if it's excessive, it may be a sign of heat stroke.
2. Increased heart rate: A rapid heartbeat can be a sign that your dog's body is trying to cool itself down.
3. Lethargy: If your dog becomes lethargic or weak, it may be a sign that they're experiencing heat stroke.
4. Confusion: Dogs with heat stroke may become disoriented or confused.
5. Bright red gums: If your dog's gums are bright red, it may indicate heat stroke.
6. High body temperature: A body temperature above 104°F (40°C) can be a sign of heat stroke.
7. Vomiting: Some dogs with heat stroke may vomit.
8. Collapse: In severe cases, dogs with heat stroke may collapse.
If you suspect your dog has heat stroke, it's essential to act quickly:
1. Move to a cool location: Get your dog to a shaded or air-conditioned area.
2. Provide water: Offer your dog cool water to drink.
3. Cool them down: Use a cool, wet cloth to lower their body temperature.
4. Seek veterinary care: Call your vet or an emergency animal hospital for guidance and support.
Remember, heat stroke can be life-threatening, so it's crucial to take these symptoms seriously and act promptly.
