Pekingese fans! We've just taken in this sweet girl. Her name is Ursa, she's around eight years old, and she's a mellow girl who loves to be treated like a pampered princess. Nothing makes her happier than being cuddled, doted on, and fed treats! Ursa has one habit that an adopter needs to be aware of – she is quite an escape artist, and will find any tiny gap in a fence and squeeze through it! She needs to be supervised even in a securely fenced yard. Ursa is great with other animals and humans of all ages, but she's not a fan of active, energetic children who treat her like a toy. She's looking for someone who needs a companion, and she's available for adoption on our website.

Penelope is in an awesome foster home, and her foster mom is giving her plenty of time and space because this girl is timid! She's around eight years old and came to us from an unscrupulous breeder. Penelope is a Yorkie and a tiny and adorable girl, but she's never known love, kindness, patience, and safety before. All of this is new to her and she's not sure how to respond. Penelope does not play – she's never had the opportunity to- and at this time she's not receptive to cuddles.
We've had dogs like Penelope before! We know that with time, patience and love she'll come around and learn to love life as a pampered pet. Penelope is available for adoption on our website but only to a quiet home with someone who won't force her out of her comfort zone. Penelope is so deserving of all of the good things that a loving home has to offer and we want nothing but the best for her.

Hi! Well, it’s August 1st, and on August 19th Ellen will be in Heaven 4 years.
So many have asked what you can do to honor Ellen’s life. Well… you ALL know her love for her 1st baby… Bbalique🐾🐾
I gave her Alique when her childhood cancer treatment was over in 2000
He was her life! We share the same love.
I decided to do a fundraiser in her memory. The rescue I chose is Vintage Pet Rescue
They woke up to someone putting rat poison on the fencing hoping to kill these sweet little old dogs. One ingested some, but after a trip to the vet, is doing ok.
There’s a little guy named Jackson who needs eye surgery. He has 5 dogs ahead of him and is getting drops for 2 weeks.

This perfect little princess is Strawberry Shortcake, a petite and sweet 3 year old pointer mix who loves to be close to her people. She absolutely loves affection and attention and kisses and cuddles. She gets along beautifully with other dogs, and this girl doesn't have a mean bone in her body – she loves everybody! She's got plenty of energy for playtime, but can quickly relax and wind down for a movie on the couch with her favorite people. This cute little guy is Mowgli. He's a nine year old Brussells Griffon mix who was adopted from us about a year ago but unfortunately just came back to rescue because his mom is having some serious health issues. We always take our animals back! Mowgli is now back in foster care and looking for a second chance family. He's an easy-going boy who loves affection! He's gentle, well mannered, great with other dogs, and a wonderful companion. He does have some eye issues and requires a daily eyedrop.
