Announcement regarding the 2026 Horse Shows at CW Equestrian Center in Mascoutah, Illinois - we are going ONLINE!
With the recent outbreaks of the EHV-1 across the nation and recently in our immediate area we feel like it is our duty to help maintain minimal equine traffic but still provide a show atmosphere. Going Online is a fantastic solution for growth while keeping our beloved equines safe & healthy. We all enjoy social gatherings, growth and education with showing, however, with our current situation the risk of gathering horses to our home barn is just not a risk we are willing to take.
For the first two shows of the 2026 season, we will be hosting our shows ONLINE! If you have not tried doing dressage shows online yet, man you are missing out! It's a fantastic way to grow, educate yourself & get rewarded for all your hard work - but in the comfort & safety of your own home!
Please know that we are basing the EHV-1 as a very real risk in our local area. We have received trusted information from our veterinarian. She has firsthand knowledge of how many and how sever the cases are in our area.
Key Information about EHV-1/EHM:
• Transmission: Highly contagious, spreading through nose-to-nose contact, contaminated equipment, or via human handler.
• Prevention: Vaccination can help reduce shedding but does not prevent the neurological form. Strict biosecurity (isolation, cleaning) is crucial
The schedule is as follows:
-> The 1st CWEC Show - Videos will be accepted from April 25th - May 9th.
The Judge is Barbara Wood, WDAA "R"
Judging will be finalized and winners will be announced May 25, 2026.
->The 2nd CWEC Show - Videos will be accepted from June 1 - June 15. The Judge is - Madeline Erce, WDAA 'r'
Judging will be finalized and winners will be announced June 30, 2026.
There will be ribbons from 1st to 6th place. The online shows are eligible for the CWEC High Point Series with awards at the end of the November show. 😊 These are very nice!

Online shows are a great way to prepare your horse in the comfort & safety of your own barn. You don’t need a formal arena, simply a labeled & measure out "arena" in the size you need depending on the class entered (grass is acceptable) – full information can be found on the entry form. The Small Dressage Size Arena will be used for Intro & Training/Basic. The Large Dressage Size Arena for All Upper Levels (WDAA/Classical First - Fourth)
