These tiny critters can cause BIG problems. Regular meds = happy, itch-free pups 🐶
Ask your vet what’s best — your dog will thank you (and so will your groomer 😅)!

We may end the day covered in hair, but it's always worth it for those wagging tails! 💖

🧼 Did you know this about double-coated dogs?!

Fluffy dogs like Newfies, Aussies, and Shepherds have a built-in weather system 🌦️ — it’s called a double coat!

✨ Their coats are smart: ✔️ Warm in winter ❄️
✔️ Cool in summer ☀️
✔️ Waterproof when it rains 💦
✔️ And totally adorable year-round 🐾

🧠 That thick undercoat sheds naturally — so shaving it can actually mess up their temperature control, sun protection, and overall comfort.

I learned all about it in a fantastic seminar from Jennifer Bishop-Jenkins, and I’m excited to keep using what I learn to help your pups stay safe, happy, and stylish 💖

🐶✂️ A Day in the Life of a Groomer (Real Talk):
☀️ 8:30 AM – Told a schnauzer she was beautiful. She gave me side-eye.
💦 9:45 AM – Bathed a doodle who thinks he’s a seal.
🐾 11:15 AM – Dog farted. We made eye contact.
☕ 12:30 PM – Drank dog hair in my coffee… again.
🎉 2:00 PM – Nailed a perfect face trim (and did a little happy dance 💃)
❤️ 3:00 PM – Said “good girl” 27 times and meant every one of them.

Grooming isn’t just my job — it’s a whirlwind of fur, sass, and love. And I wouldn’t trade it for the world 🐾💕

📚 Tuesday Talk: Why Continued Learning Matters ✂️🐾

Did you know dog grooming is an unregulated profession?
That means anyone can pick up a pair of clippers and call themselves a groomer — no training required 😬

But here at Jenny’s Happy Tails Grooming, I take your pet’s care seriously.
While I’ll always be learning (and I’m definitely not done yet!), I value continued education above all else 💡🐶

That’s why I recently took a class from Jennifer Bishop on the 15 coat types — so I can give each pup the care that’s best for their specific coat, breed, or blend 🐩✨

Every dog deserves thoughtful, safe, and breed-appropriate grooming — and that’s exactly what I strive to provide 🐾💕
