If your dog doesn’t respond to a cue, it doesn’t mean they’re being stubborn—it likely means they’re not ready yet. Only give a verbal cue when they can succeed 95% of the time, and always follow through.

Motivation Monday: Stop the Jumping! 🦘🐕
Does your pup jump up on people? Teach them to keep all four paws on the ground! 🐾
➡️ When they jump, hold your palm up and say ‘Off.’
➡️ The moment their paws touch the ground, reward with praise and a treat.
➡️ Bonus tip: Teach a ‘Jump’ command too, so they only do it when asked!

Motivation Monday: Master the ‘Leave It’ Command! 🚫🐾

Teaching ‘Leave It’ can save your dog from danger and prevent them from grabbing things they shouldn’t. Start simple: Hold a treat in your closed hand. When they stop trying to get it, say "Good leave it!" and reward them with a different treat. Gradually increase difficulty by placing the treat on the ground and covering it with your hand!
