Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Therapist (Technician/Nurse) Full or Part Time
We are a growing stand-alone rehab practice. Our practice has grown greatly and we are in need of veterinarian technician or assistant to join our team. It really is one of the happiest places to work, with a lot of collaboration and team decision making. Every team member is empowered and has a say in the growth and direction of our practice.
Our practice has an emphasis on training and continuing education. Our practice has a large focus on sports medicine, but we also see many post operative and neurologic cases. We emphasize quality of medicine and education. Our day ends feeling good about the quality time and care we are able to give to each patient.
We hire based on personality and desire to grow. A compassionate, friendly person with a team focused work ethic is a must. Great communication skills are needed. The rest, including the medicine, we can train 馃檪
This job position would entail assisting the veterinarian and treating patients. Therapies we offer include exercises, laser, ultrasound, electrotherapy, shockwave, acupuncture, massage, stretches, mobilizations, and therapeutic exercise. Some appointments are done through telemedicine.
We like to ensure that whoever we hire is the best fit for both parties. We do require spending time at our practice to get a feel for how we operate and give the candidate an opportunity to ask team members any questions.
We offer many benefits including PTO, health and dental insurance, continuing education, short term disability, and reduced pet supplies/medications/food. Starting wage: $25-28 per hour.

Duties & Responsibilities
路 Be an integral part of the patient care team and work closely with the veterinarians and other staff as needed for patient care
路 Learn how to implement all treatment modalities proficiently
路 Remain current in animal rehabilitation services and therapies
路 Implement the prescribed treatment plans as prescribed by the veterinarian
路 Monitor patient response to prescribed therapies and inform the supervising veterinarian of any changes in patient status
路 Update patient records in a timely manner
路 Maintain treatment areas in accordance with hospital protocols
路 Participate in training and continuing education of staff as well as visiting interns and externs
路 Assist with client education in accordance with hospital protocols
路 Participate in public events where rehab can be promoted to clients, potential clients or referring veterinarians
路 Perform other duties as assigned
路 Be able to work both independently and as an integral part of a team
