The countdown is on - DAF Day is tomorrow, October 9th!
Join the SPCA and donors across the country on October 9th, as we come together to celebrate generosity through Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs). It’s a chance to turn intention into action and be part of a movement, supporting your favorite nonprofit organizations. Every DAF gift to the SPCA turns into funds used to directly care for our community’s homeless animals!
Here’s how you can join in:

These animal are at Henry County, VA Animal Shelter. The sad reality is they will have to euthanize to make space for the dogs and cats that come in daily. Adopting from the pound will make room for other animals that come in and adopting from the SPCA will make room for us to go and pull animals from the pound before they have to make euthanizing decisions. Please consider opening your heart and home for a shelter animal. If you can not adopt please share this post and lets help find these babies a home.

LETS HAVE SOME SPOOKY FUN!!
Through the month of October we will be collecting pictures of your pets in their best Halloween costumes. Pictures will be posted to Facebook on 10/28 and with the help of the public we will choose a winner for a free spay/neuter and a pet themed goody basket. Winners will be announced on 10/31 at 12:00pm. All pictures must be submitted by 10/25. For spay and neuter some exclusions or additional charges may apply.

One of our volunteers needs donations of hard coolers to make feral cat houses. If you have a hard cooler that you’re willing to donate to be turned into shelter from harsh winter weather, please deliver it to the SPCA (132 Joseph Martin Highway) or Fido's Finds (119 E. Main Street, downtown Martinsville across the street from the back side of the Globman's building) . Thank you!!
