Shenandoah Veterinary Hospital was established in 1974 in Martinsburg WV. The doctors and staff have been practicing high quality veterinary medicine for 40 years. On September 25, 2009, the hospital expanded to a new state-of-the-art facility, creating the ability to see more pets. In 2023 we have started offering TeleHealth visits! We are starting to carry more Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diet! Do worry we are still carrying our more frequently used Hill’s Prescription Diets. Both Hill’s & Purina have a satisfaction guarantee, meaning you get do to what’s best for your pet without wasting your money.

If your veterinarian has recommended a prescription diet, give us a call and we can discuss which ones may be best- Purina, Hill’s or Royal Canin.

Monday 5/25 we will be closed for Memorial Day.

We would like to take this time to remind owners to keep their dog’s hydrated and cool while enjoying the sunshine and warm weather.

Do not leave dogs in hot cars unattended.

If walking your dog on pavement, double check that the pavement isn’t too hot for their paws.

‼️ATTENTION‼️

If your pet is receiving Gabapentin Suspension we now have a new refill protocol.

After we receive your request, an assistant will review your account to verify the ability to refill the medication. Once we check the remaining refills, an assistant will call you to let you know the remaining refill status and get an ETA of when you want to pick up the medication.

Because the medication is liquid and refrigerated, we will not be filling it until you are in the building.

When picking up your Gabapentin please give staff 15-30 minutes to fill the medications and complete all required documentation.
